A message from James and Angie

Wow...... we are overwhelmed by all the love and encouraging words we have been given like..... wow... we LOVE you guys!!!!

I guess the only thing we want to tell you is that the wonderful feeling and sense of love and family at KG was all Jesus.

He loves all of you unconditionally, unreservedly and unashamedly. He would move mountains to know you and He gave up His life just to give you a choice to know Him.

When you invite Him into your life, man, be prepared He will challenge you, grow you and take you to places you never thought possible. He might even call you to start a youth ministry with 6 kids meeting in the foyer of a church. But He will never leave you and He will always have your back. Whatever you do with, through and for Him will always end up beyond anything you could ever imagine. It definitely did for us.

Kingdom Generation has been amazing and it will always have a special place in our heart. We believe though that it is nothing compared to what you guys will do when you trust God and follow His call on your life.

Lastly a few KG mottos to live by;

All in, oh well: live your life all in for Jesus even if it’s hard you have nothing to lose if you live all in.

Don’t be stingy: live generously and if something is worth your time and energy it’s worth doing excellently especially if it’s for God.

O’hana means family: At KG we are family not because we are exclusive, but because EVERY SINGLE PERSON is made in Gods image and is one of His children (whether they know it or not). So show every person the love, respect and encouragement they deserve as a brother or sister in Gods family.

And lastly,
Bare minimum, change the world: You don’t have to change the whole world for everyone but you can definitely change it for someone. God has called us to reflect His love and glory bringing His light into dark and lonely places. Be His hands and feet, live for others, have no shame, love big and TRUST GOD, He knows you and knows what He is doing.

We LOVE YOU!! And we are always here for you... O’hana means family, family means no one is left behind or forgotten.

A message from Matt

Hey KG Fam!!!!

Can I just start by saying u guys are the best. You made KG what it was.

You made it a place to have fun and to feel loved no matter what.

God has blessed us with amazing times and memories to carry into the future. And even though KG is coming to an end, I want you all to remember one of the most key bible verses of all time.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I am sooooo thankful for all the time I got to spend with you. Even though KG is coming to a close and it is sad. I have to remind myself that God has got this!!! He has a plan for mine and your lives and he is just waiting on you to fulfill it.

Also remember that God is always there for you. It doesnt matter how long it has been or what has happened. You can always turn to him for thanks, forgiveness or in times of need.

It has been an honour and a privilege KG. I hope to see you all soon. You will forever be family. Love you guys !!!!

Hey Fam,
It has been a privellage of mine to do life along side you all even if only for a little while. I first got involved with KG as a means to serve the youth of our community but I had no idea that it would be the youth that served me. In the short while that I have been apart of the KG fam I have learnt so much, I have learnt that it doesnt matter if you're 14 or 40.. God has a calling on us all in each of our seasons. I have learnt that age does not determine responsibility in God's kingdom and no matter how young or how old we are, it is all of our responsibility to serve each other, to love each other, to build each other up. We all seek freedom and the only way to find freedom is to know peace and the only way to know peace is to know love and I'm blessed to have found love in KG and furthermore I have found true and unconditional love in God.

Just remember, in ANY of your trials... God is not the best answer... God is the ONLY answer!!!

A message from Sam

Through every season, in every trial, God is still God, and He is still good.

It’s so easy for us to become overwhelmed or stressed about what is going to happen next, and it’s easy for us to forget one thing in particular, which I have come to realise is the most important thing of all, and that is that God is in every situation, and His plan is good for your life, it is to prosper you, not to harm you. Just because His plan for your life is good, that doesn’t mean everything that happens to you is going to be wonderful. There will be trials and there will be seasons where giving up seems by far the best option, but it is through these times we need to remember that God is above all these things, He is greater than our struggles.

The mantra I live my life by is that God knows what He is doing, even if I can’t see how it’s the best thing for my life. For me, this means that I don’t worry or stress about the future because I leave it in God’s hands, knowing that whatever happens, God is going to use it for good so that in the end, His will and His purpose will be done.

Matthew 6:25-34 says this:

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you — you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

What I want to leave you all with is the knowledge and the assuredness in your spirits that God is good despite what happens, and that His plan for your life is good. So trust in Him, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and He will take care of you, He will provide you with all your needs, and His plan will come to pass in your life

Sometimes it’s easy to fall into doubting that God has a plan and purpose for us. When there are so many voices surrounding us telling us who we should be - whether they be voices from our family or friends, the devil, or even our own voice - it seems that we can get caught up listening to those negative voices about who we’re suppose to be and who we think we should be.
But there’s one voice who never has anything negative to say about you, who encourages you and never rushes you, who gives you peace and makes you whole. That voice is the voice of Jesus.

When we listen to the voice of God, we start to realise who we are and who our identity is found in, and we start to recognise the beautiful voice of Jesus.

Jesus gave himself away on the cross to have a relationship with you, and no matter what you might be hearing, it doesn’t change what God is saying.

You are LOVED. You are ACCEPTED. You are FREE.

It has been an honour and privilege to serve you, to know you and to party with you each Friday night. How amazing to know that you guys are going to change the world!

KG – I hope you all know as KG comes to a close how valued and loved you are. You each have the capacity and ability to create such uniquely beautiful lives that shines and reflects the best of you. God meticulously placed unique and special dreams, talents, gifts and abilities in you so that you could be the light to someone else’s darkness. There is only one YOU, and that is so special. In this life you can’t always control the circumstances that come your way but you can choose how you respond! It is so easy to become bitter, doubtful and anxious about what could come next but I’ve come to realise that God is so much bigger than what surrounds us, that there is nothing we can do or say that can separate us from Christ and His everlasting love for us! Your life has the ability to be so abundantly full and overflowing, if we all choose joy, choose kindness, choose to forgive and choose to trust in the one who loves you most, Jesus.

A quote I live my life off is from a Christian Missionary, Katie who says, “I believe that we were each created to change the world for someone, to serve someone, to love someone the way Christ first loved us. To spread His light. This is the dream and it is possible.”

This is my prayer for you all, I hope that you all find yourselves planted and flourishing in the house of God, it is truly the best place to be.

It has been the biggest blessing to be your leader, thank you for all the light you guys have brought to my life.

A message from Nae:

James has asked us to write something that we could post on facebook as our last words as a ‘KG leader’ to you.
For the last 2 weeks I have been thinking of what to say, wishing I took up the opportunity to speak to you all more, get to know some of you better and form deeper relationships. I have James’s voice in the back of my head (which always seems to be there) saying “preach like a dying man, preaching to dying men”, so here are my last words to you as your KG leader….

We constantly have thoughts running through our brains whether they be positive or negative about ourselves.
God’s thoughts have never and will never change about us, they are alway positive, caring and loving. He has never thought a bad thing about you. He LOVES absolutely everything about you, what you think of as a flaw he thinks how amazingly he designed that part of you. He has made each of us perfectly in HIS image. No matter what path you find yourself on later in life God will always have the same thought about you, how much he loves and cares for you, how much he wants to be your friend and whatever happens he will always be there welcoming you home with open arms. His love and his thoughts for you are the same yesterday, today and forever. Never doubt who he is and what he can do, he is above all things on this earth.

Romans 8:38-39 - ‘For I know that nothing can keep us from the love of God. Death cannot! Life cannot! Angels cannot! Leaders cannot! Any other power cannot! Hard things now or in the future cannot!The world above or the world below cannot! Any other living thing cannot keep us away from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.’

It has been an absolute honour to serve you, thank you all for being absolutely amazing and i can't wait to see what you all achieve in your futures. Thank You for changing my life - i love you guys ### (p.s always a phone call or text away, if you ever need ANYTHING)
