As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Re’eh, we reflect on the gifts of choice and responsibility G‑d places before us. 🕯️✨

Parshat Re’eh reminds us that every day we are faced with decisions to follow a path of blessing or hardship. Moshe encourages us to choose life—to embrace kindness, justice, and faith in G‑d’s guiding presence. Chassidic teachings inspire us to see our choices as powerful tools for spiritual growth and communal harmony. 🌿🤝

May the light of our Shabbat candles inspire us to bring blessing and peace into our homes and the world. We continue to pray for the safe return of our hostages, the protection of our soldiers, and the wellbeing of all our people worldwide. May our collective light bring healing and hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days. ✡️🤲🕊️

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Balak, we reflect on how even the darkest intentions can be transformed into radiant blessings. 🕯✨

Parshat Balak tells the story of a non-Jewish prophet, Bilam, who was hired to curse the Jewish people-yet, miraculously, words of blessing flowed from his mouth instead. Chassidic teachings explain that this wasn’t just a failed curse; it was a deeper revelation of G-d’s hidden good, waiting to emerge.

Bilam’s prophecy includes one of the most beautiful verses in the Torah: “How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel.” The Rebbe teaches that this verse celebrates the quiet, spiritual power within every Jewish home-a sanctuary of light.

When Bilam looks upon the Jewish people, he sees more than tents; he sees the eternal strength of a nation rooted in purity, humility, and holiness. Chassidus reveals that within each of us lies this same power to turn challenge into growth, confusion into clarity, and curses into blessings.

As we welcome Shabbat, may the glow of our candles remind us that we are never alone. Even when life feels confusing or unjust, G-d is guiding us from above with a loving hand. May our homes be filled with light, and may our actions hasten the ultimate transformation—the coming of Moshiach, speedily in our days. ✨

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Chukat, we reflect on purification and how G-d is beyond human understanding. 🕯✨

Chukat introduces the mitzvah of the red heifer, a commandment which is a “chok”—a law beyond human understanding. The Torah teaches us that sometimes, we are called to move forward with trust even when we don’t have all the answers. In our own lives, we often face challenges that don’t make sense, yet it’s our faith, perseverance, and acts of kindness that help us transform darkness into light.

May the glow of our Shabbat candles inspire us to embrace life’s mysteries with courage and hope, and to bring more love and light into our homes and communities. Let us continue to pray for the safety and well-being of all Jewish people worldwide, and may our collective light and Mitzvot hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days. ✡

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Korach, we reflect on the importance of humility, unity, and using our strengths for a higher purpose. 🕯️✨

Korach’s story reminds us what happens when personal ambition overshadows the greater good. While Korach challenged Moshe’s leadership, the Torah teaches that true greatness comes from serving with humility and working together for the sake of the community. Chassidic teachings encourage us to recognise our unique gifts, but to use them in a way that uplifts others and brings harmony, not division.

May the glow of our Shabbat candles inspire us to choose unity over discord, to value every individual, and to bring more light, kindness, and peace into our homes and communities. Let us continue to pray for the safety and wellbeing of all Jewish people worldwide, and may our collective light hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days. ✡️

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Acharei-Kedoshim, we reflect on the call to live lives of holiness and responsibility. 🕯️✨

Acharei-mot reminds us of the power of atonement and returning to our true selves, while Kedoshim opens with the command, “You shall be holy,” teaching that holiness is found not only in sacred spaces but in our everyday actions and relationships. Chassidic teachings emphasise that each of us has the ability to bring G-dliness into the world through kindness, honesty, and compassion.

May the light of our Shabbat candles inspire us to elevate our daily lives, striving to create homes and communities filled with holiness and unity. Let us pray for the safety and wellbeing of all Jewish people worldwide, and may our collective light hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days. ✡️

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Vayikra, we reflect on the themes of humility and drawing closer to G-d. 🕯️✨

Vayikra introduces the concept of korbanot (offerings), which come from the word "karov," meaning "to draw close." Chassidic teachings explain that true closeness to G-d comes not just from physical offerings, but from dedicating our inner selves to Him with humility and sincerity. The small aleph in the word "Vayikra" reminds us of Moshe’s humility, teaching us that greatness comes through recognising everything as a gift from G-d.

When we light our Shabbat candles, we too draw close to G-d, creating a sacred space of peace and holiness in our homes. Each flame represents our soul connecting with its divine source.

May the glow of our Shabbat candles inspire us to serve G-d with humility and dedication. Let us pray for the safety and wellbeing of all Jewish people worldwide, and may our collective light hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days. ✡️

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Ki Tisa, we also celebrate the joyous holiday of Purim.🎭 🕯️✨

Purim this year falls on Friday, leading right into Shabbat, making it a unique and festive time. The story of Purim reminds us that even when G-d's presence seems hidden, He is guiding events behind the scenes. Just as Esther and Mordechai played crucial roles in saving the Jewish people, we too can bring light into the world through our actions. 🎭

On Purim day, we fulfill four special mitzvot: hearing the Megillah, sending Mishloach Manot (food gifts to friends), giving charity to the needy, and enjoying a festive meal. This year, we'll need to complete these observances earlier in the day to prepare for Shabbat.

The custom of dressing up on Purim teaches us to look beyond external appearances and recognise the divine spark within each person. As we celebrate, may the joy of Purim inspire us to increase in acts of goodness and kindness.

Let us pray for the safety and well-being of all Jewish people worldwide, and may our collective light hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days.

As we light our Shabbat candles this week for Parshat Tetzaveh, we reflect on the profound symbolism of light and the holy garments of the Kohanim. 🕯️✨

This parsha focuses on the priestly garments and the eternal light of the Menorah. Chassidic teachings remind us that just as pure olive oil was used to kindle the Menorah, our souls are the candles that G-d uses to bring light into the world. Each of us has the potential to dispel darkness through our mitzvot and good deeds.

In the Kohen Gadol's attire, every element had significance, reminding us to infuse our daily actions with meaning and purpose. The breastplate, with its twelve precious stones representing the tribes of Israel, symbolises the unity and interconnectedness of our people.

May the glow of our Shabbat candles inspire us to recognise the divine potential within ourselves and others. As we pray for the safety of Israel and the well-being of all Jewish people worldwide, may our collective light hasten the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days.

As we light our Shabbos candles this week for Parshas Bo, we reflect on the power of redemption. Bo recounts the final three plagues visited upon Egypt, culminating in our exodus from slavery.

In these challenging times, as antisemitic incidents continue to rise globally, the lessons of Bo resonate deeply. Just as our ancestors faced darkness before their liberation, we too are experiencing a period of increased baseless hatred. However, Bo reminds us that even in our darkest moments, the light of redemption is present.

We are grateful for the recent release of hostages from the evil terrorists. While this brings hope, our hearts remain heavy as we pray for the safe return of all the remaining hostages.
May the light of our Shabbos candles inspire us to be beacons of hope and kindness in a world that desperately needs it. As we pray for Shalom of our people worldwide, let us remember that our individual actions will bring us closer to the ultimate redemption.

As we light our candles for Shabbat and reflect on Parshat L**h L**ha, we are reminded of the profound journey of Abraham, who answered G-d's call to "Go forth" into the unknown.

This journey teaches us about faith, courage, and the transformative power of following our divine purpose. Abraham's willingness to leave his familiar surroundings and embrace a new path serves as an inspiration for us to trust in G-d's plan and pursue our own spiritual journeys with determination and hope.

In light of recent events, including Donald Trump's victory and its potential impact on Israel, we hope this is G-d's plan for peace and security for us all. Just as Abraham was promised blessings for his faithfulness, we pray that this new chapter brings blessings and stability to Israel.

May the light of our Shabbat candles with our prayers for unity and safety, bring about the ultimate redemption with the coming of Moshiach speedily in our days.

Shabbat Shalom!
