Have you ever wondered about the story behind Tracey's Pantry?
Meet Judy Day. This is her story, and why she started Tracey's Pantry.
After Judy tragically lost her daughter Tracey, aged only 57, to cancer the loving mum had a deep desire to do something good for the Beaudesert community to keep Tracey’s memory alive.
“Tracey loved cooking and she loved giving things to people, so after she died, I donated her freezer to Scenic Rim Uniting Church to store food supplies for those in need. I told the church: ‘It’d be great if we could keep the freezer full of food in case people come to the church hungry’. It was a lovely way to remember Tracey… because she did so much for people in her life.” – Judy

Sending out a huge thank you to Bill O'Sullivan who has donated a 600L freezer to Tracey's Pantry. This will be a wonderful addition to Tracey's Pantry's new home that we hope to start work on building, this year.

"Where there is no vision, the people will perish:...." Proverbs 29:18
Meet our Beaudesert Worship Centre's Renovation Working Group team members. Keeping the vision for our church alive.
Stage 1 is almost finished on the Old Church's renovations, just a few doors to replace and paint, and the planning stage for Stage 2 is well underway.
Stage 2 involves building Tracey's Pantry a home.
Watch this space for how you might be able to make the dream a reality.

Farewell and Thank you to Rev. Sione.
It was an amazing day last Sunday as we farewelled our interim minister Rev. Sione. There was the extra bonus of having the Tongan youth choir at the service. I think pretty well all of our regular church goers from both Canungra and Beaudesert were there. Once again I think the singing must have been heard for streets around. It was a very fitting farewell for Sione and a few tears were shed.
Thank you Sione for your passionate faith and the way you share the gospel by word and by action.
Thank you for the love and encouragement you have given us. Thank you for your willingness to minister to the people of the Scenic Rim, especially in your support during times of grief and the beautiful way you have conducted funeral
services.
Thank you for the effort and patience in ministering to us when you have your other congregation to care for.
You will always be remembered with love and gratitude.
God bless you and your family always!

PLEASE NOTE: Change of Service time. Combined Service Beaudesert Worship Centre 31st May, 10am.
Sunday the 31st May Rev. Sione Afu will conduct his last service with us as our interim minister. Rev Sione has been with us for the past 6 months. It will be a combined service with both of the Scenic Rim Uniting Church Worship Centres coming together in Beaudesert at 10am.
We will be joined by the members of the Tongan Choir. Those of you who have enjoyed their singing previously will most certainly not want to miss this Sunday's special farewell service for Rev. Sione.

EVER ASKED YOURSELF THE QUESTION-
WHY THE UNITING CHURCH?
The Uniting Church is uniquely Australian and reflects the many shapes and cultures of our communities. Join your local church and discover a church:
• Centred on Jesus Christ: a community where we together learn and follow the way of Jesus
• For all: a multicultural, multigenerational church where there is room for everybody, where safety of children and the vulnerable are our priority, where we honour our First Nations people and cultures.
• With purpose: a community whose purpose is to worship, witness and serve, seeking the flourishing of communities everywhere, and standing for justice
• With informed faith: a place where wrestling with life’s big questions is encouraged and supported, where the wisdom of scholars, tradition and experience intersect with the Holy Scriptures
• On the way: we’re not perfect, but we’re always looking to learn and grow with you, and with our community.
