Please see below a pastoral letter to the parishioners of St Paul the Apostle from our Bishop Vincent.

Dear parishioners,
It is with sadness that I wish to inform you of the resignation of Fr John Paul Escarlan as Parish Priest of St Paul the Apostle, Winston Hills, effective immediately. He has voluntarily resigned for personal reasons.
In accepting his resignation, I acknowledge Fr John Paul’s leadership and pastoral care to your community. I am sure that you will join me in wishing him every blessing for the future and affording him the space, privacy, and prayers he deserves. As his bishop, I want to assure you that he will be supported in the days ahead.
In the interim, I have appointed Fr Joby Ittira MS, Parish Priest of Toongabbie as the Administrator. He will work closely with Fr Ambrose, Parish Pastoral Council, staff and volunteers until a new Parish Priest is appointed.
Let us be united in prayer and charity as we continue the good works of St Paul the Apostle Parish Community.

Congratulations to Paul Dahlberg, Tony D’Souza and Denis McKeon who each received the Diocesan Medal of Honour from Bishop Vincent Long on Friday evening in recognition of their outstanding service to our parish. Together they have given almost 150 years of service to the community of St Paul the Apostle. We are grateful and proud of all that you have done for us.

Senior’s Christmas in July organised by the members of our parish Women’s Ministry will take place tomorrow morning in the Father David Scott Parish Centre from 10:00am until 11:30am

As Fr Jobi moves to take up his new appointment at St Aidan’s we are grateful for the time he has spent with us. Over the past fourteen months Fr Jobi has become a part of our St Paul’s family as Assistant Priest and parish Administrator. We thank God for this gentle and generous priest and wish him all the best in his new community.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to our recent appeal for winter blankets and warm clothing for the Vinnies Winter Appeal. On Sunday we were able to deliver a literal trailer load of warm winter donations from our parish.
Thanks also to the staff and customers of Chemist Outlet Baulkham Hills for your contributions.

There’s only one more sleep to our Parish Feast Day. Join us to celebrate our community - Mass starts at 9:30 Sunday morning with our BBQ and multicultural Feast to follow. There will be entertainment from our talented parishioners too.
