Things are changing for both St Stephen's and our Senior Minister, Rod Morris. After 13 years with us as the Senior Minister, Rod is on the move as we enter 2022. He will remain in Melbourne, but join the team at City to City Australia in order to serve as a Lead Consultant and Trainer. He will primarily be working as a consultant alongside churches around the country as part of City to City’s Revitalise Australia project, drawing on his experience gained here at St Stephen's as we have sought to revitalise and regenerate an aging congregation. Rod will also be involved in running some of the amazing courses that City to City offer. Rod says 'It is an exciting, although daunting prospect, and I am thrilled to be joining a very gifted team of co-workers. I am sad to be leaving St Stephen’s but feel this new role is a great fit for my personality, gifts, experience, and training." We will miss Rod, Karen, Isaac and Anneke after sharing in gospel ministry with them since 2009. We will farewell the Morris family with a special service at St Stephen’s on Sunday 30th January 2022. Please join us in thanking God for Rod's ministry and pray for us and him as this transition occurs.
