One of our most anticipated and much loved parish and school community traditions is returning on Saturday 6 June after the 5.30pm Mass and Sunday 7 June after the 8am Mass, on the side of the Parish Hall at the Parish of Sts Peter and Paul.

We’d love your support by donating some delicious homemade or store bought baked treats for the stall. Every contribution, big or small, is truly appreciated and helps make this community favourite possible.

📍 Baked goods collection times at the Parish Hall (school side):
• Saturday 6 June | 5.00pm to 5.30pm
• Sunday 7 June | 7.30am to 8.00am

If you already know what you’re planning to bake, please let us know. We can’t wait to see the tables filled once again with everyone’s wonderful creations! 🧁💛

A reminder that our Parish Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Launch is on tomorrow evening.

Join us as we listen, learn and reflect together, hearing from guest speakers and exploring how our parish can continue its journey of reconciliation with our First Nations brothers and sisters.

📍 Saturday 30th May
🕡 6.45pm – 8.30pm

All are welcome.

As part of our parish’s journey of reconciliation, we warmly invite parishioners and members of the wider community to the launch of our Parish Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). 🤍

Journey with our First Nations brothers and sisters as we gather to listen, learn, reflect, and build a shared understanding together.

During the evening, we will:
- Listen to first hand reflections from a local Indigenous man
- Learn about local Aboriginal history from a historian
- Explore the importance of truth telling
- Understand how our parish can engage with the Archdiocesan RAP

The evening will feature several guest speakers, with wine, cheese and nibbles provided.

Yesterday morning, our parish gathered for a simple Mass of thanksgiving followed by morning tea to farewell Sr Gen, giving thanks for her faithful presence among us. 🙏🏼🤍

A Good Samaritan Sister for 54 years, and part of our parish and the Lourdes Hill community for the past 12 years, Sr Gen has been deeply involved in parish life through RCIA, liturgical ministry, and especially through her leadership of the Social Justice Group, which has been a hallmark of her time with us. We are grateful that she will continue her membership in the Social Justice Group.

In her farewell, Sr Gen reminded us that life as a religious Sister never retires, just as our life as Christians continues in service, faith, and love wherever we are called.

We thank God for Sr Gen and all she has given to our community, and we wish her good health and every happiness in this next chapter of her religious life. She remains in our prayers. 🙏🏼🤗🩷

This Sunday after the 8am Mass, our parish community will gather for a morning tea to farewell Sr Gen as she concludes her time with the Lourdes Hill Community after 11 wonderful years. 🩷

Sr Gen has been a faithful and generous presence in our parish life, contributing to RCIA, liturgical ministry, and our Social Justice Group, where she will thankfully continue her involvement. We give thanks to God for the many ways she has served and enriched our community.

Please join us in offering our gratitude, prayers, and warm wishes to Sr Gen as she begins this next chapter of her religious life. May God bless her with good health, joy, and peace. 🙏🏼

At the Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, Bulimba, safeguarding is at the heart of our community life. 💛

In unity with the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane, we uphold a zero tolerance for all forms of abuse and are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone involved in our parish activities, ministries, and services.

The safety and wellbeing of children and adults at risk is paramount. Every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported within our faith community.

As people of faith, we are called to protect the dignity of every person and to foster a culture of care, accountability, and compassion.

If you have any safeguarding concerns, reports can also be made confidentially through STOPline, an independent service that supports safe and transparent reporting.

Together, let us continue building a parish community where all can encounter God’s love in safety and trust. ✝️

Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour those who fought and died for freedom. ANZAC Day is a day when Australians and New Zealanders remember and honour those who fought and died for freedom. We gather not to glorify war but to remember those who have served our country during times of crisis and to reflect upon their selfless sacrifice.

As people of faith, we give thanks for their courage, service, and sacrifice, and we pray for all veterans, service men and women, and their families. Conscious that there are many men and women around the world still working for peace, we hold fast to the powerful hope that peace can exist today.

May Christ, the Prince of Peace, guide our hearts to be instruments of peace, compassion, and unity in our homes, our community, and our world.

Lest we forget. 🌺🙏

From the solemn reverence of Good Friday, to the light of the Easter Vigil, and the joy of Easter Sunday, our parish journeyed together through the heart of our faith. ✝️❤️💜🤍

We remembered Christ’s sacrifice, kept watch in hope, and rejoiced in the Resurrection. In every moment, we were reminded of God’s Divine Love a love that never fails and cannot fail.

We were especially blessed to witness new life in Christ through the baptism of baby Jane, a beautiful sign that the risen Lord continues to call us into new life.

Thank you to all who participated, served, and prayed throughout Holy Week. Your presence helped make these celebrations deeply meaningful for our parish family.

May the joy of the Risen Christ remain in your hearts, bringing peace, hope, and renewed faith to you and your families this Easter season. ✨

“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said”.
Matthew 28:6 🤍✝️

The Easter events show us the depth of God’s love for us and all creation and the extent to which God will go to reveal that love. In his Passion, Jesus embraces every aspect of our human condition including suffering and death. In his Resurrection, he offers us divine life and love which are eternal and overcome even the darkness and sadness of the tomb forever. We are now graced with a hope that is more powerful than all of our efforts, whose vision goes beyond what we see and whose life is greater than death. As you renew your baptismal promises again this Easter may the hope of Christ’s Resurrection bring peace, joy and love to you and all whom you love.

The largesse of God in the Easter mystery can never be measured so let me assure you that all your intentions, heartfelt desires and hopes for the world are included in our prayers for you during this glorious Season of Easter.

A very sincere thank you to all ministers and parishioners who have participated in the ceremonies of Holy Week. Your ministry and attendance is a wonderful expression of our faith in God’s love for the world.

Wishing you every blessing for the Easter season. 🙏🏼
