What a great afternoon with the RotaKids at Ballarat North Primary School! ❤️

These Year 6 students have been busy collecting donations and putting together care packs for people in our local community who are doing it tough.

Yesterday, Kaz and I had the privilege of visiting them, hearing about what they’ve been working on, sharing a little about the work of the Salvos across Ballarat, and talking about the difference these packs will make when they find their way into the hands of someone who needs them.

We were so impressed by the thought and care that had gone into every pack — even down to the beautiful bags reminding the recipient, “You are not alone.”

A huge thank you to the Ballarat North Primary School RotaKids for choosing to notice a need in their community and do something practical to help. We’re very grateful! ❤️

This is a new role focused on building relationships with local schools, children and families — getting alongside our community, responding to practical needs and helping connect people with support and opportunities.

Today we had the privilege of enrolling Katy as a Junior Soldier! Surrounded by her family, friends and her church family, Katy made a public declaration of faith and we are so excited for her!

A huge thank you to our friends at Ballarat Christian College for getting behind this year’s Red Shield Appeal! ❤️

We’re so grateful for your partnership and for the way your students are choosing to bring hope to our local community.

THE SALVATION ARMY RED SHIELD APPEAL – BE THE HOPE CAMPAIGN
Our BalCC SRC and Senate are proud to support The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal and invite our College community to join them in bringing hope to those in need.

Families can support this year's "Be the Hope" campaign by purchasing a Red Shield sticker. Students can bring a donation to their Homeroom teacher and receive a sticker to add to our growing ‘Hope’ display, showing how, together, we can make a difference in our local community.

The appeal commenced on July 20 and runs throughout Term 3 (or until our display is full). Donations can also be made via Parent Lounge under Events & Payments.

Thank you for partnering with our student leaders and the Salvation Army to bring hope to vulnerable members of the Ballarat community.
