Tomorrow is our 155 th patronal festival in our beautiful church and Bishop Alison Taylor is officiating and all are welcome. The service is at 10-30 am as usual.
The feast of the Holy Trinity marks the transition from the Christ Season into the Ordinary Season of the church calendar.
We promise a lovely high tea celebration with cake, scones and bubbles.
At 2-30 pm there is a wonderful concert in support of emerging young artists. Music will be featured by Spohr, Schubert, Bellini, Donizetti and Saint Saens. Tickets are an available at the door.
Wednesday will be our book group at the church at 7-30 pm, not at Trinity which is closed for renovations. We are discussing Helen Garner’s tender little novel following her grandson’s under 16 footy season. The novel was published in 2024 and is very current. It explores footy, family relationships and the joy of the young and the tenderness and difficulties of inter generational relationships. Feel free to come, even if you haven’t read the book but would like to join in.

Today we prayed for all of the people ( thousands ) on the boats caught in the Straits of Hormuz, as well as our usual prayer list. Not many people seem to think about these innocent victims of a situation outside their control. It was good to be reminded of their plight.
As you can see from our photo, we had white vestments for the Sunday after Ascension. This brings me to remind you that next Sunday is Pentecost. Try and remember to wear some red.

16/05/2026

Tomorrow (May 17 th ) is the Seventh Sunday after Easter or the Sunday after Ascension. Our service is at 10-30 am as usual with readings from Acts and Peter and John. All are welcome.
Next Sunday May 24 th is the Feast of Pentecost. Everything turns red including our clothes too. Do try and remember to wear some red.
The last Sunday in May (May 31st) is Trinity Sunday which is our patronal festival and we will be welcoming Bishop Alison Taylor. To celebrate we will be having a “ high morning tea”! The colour code will be white.
Just a reminder that everyone is always welcome and our services are at 10-30 am.
Bless you all.

We have a new Archbishop of Canterbury. Our 106 th and the first female ever. We pray for the Right Reverend Dame Sarah Mullally as she takes on this challenging role .
Her oath to us is
“ I am Sarah, a servant of Jesus Christ, and I come as one seeking the grace of God, to travel with you in his service.”

She said amongst many things that we are “ A church which extends around the world.. as part of the one holy, catholic and apostolic Church, to embody Christ’s love.”
We wish her well in this complex and demanding position.
