We regret to inform you that the Ramadan Open Day Iftar Dinner scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to the forecasted weather conditions.

After careful consideration, we felt it would be best to prioritise the safety and comfort of our guests and volunteers. Unfortunately, the unpredictable weather makes it difficult to host the event as planned.

We sincerely appreciate your interest in joining us and your support for our community events. We hope to welcome you at future gatherings organised by the Islamic Society of Mackay.

A friendly reminder that our Ramadan Iftar Dinner is happening this Saturday, 7th of March at 5:30 PM at the Islamic Society of Mackay and everyone is welcome to join us.

🌙 Alhamdulillah 🌙

Today we had Ramadan presentation at Whitsunday Anglican School.

Beautiful speeches by all Muslim students and lovely engagement from everyone. We did a quiz about Ramadan and we were so happy to see more hands raised to answer;more awareness about Ramadan and more confidence to ask and learn.

This is the beauty of Australia and multiculturalism ;everyone respecting each other, learning about different faiths, and even sharing in the experience together.

Alhamdulillah, today we decorated our mosque getting ready for Ramadan 🌙

All decorations were beautifully crafted by our Muslim kids;a custom Ramadan goals chart with their photos, handmade lanterns, crescent moons, and colourful artwork. Such a joyful and creative day!

We are so excited to welcome Ramadan, inshaAllah, starting this Thursday. May Allah bless the entire Mackay Muslim community 🤍
