Today, we celebrate the Feast of St Barnabas, a key figure in the early Church whose witness helped shape the spread of Christianity.

He was given the name Barnabas by the Apostles, meaning "Son of Encouragement."

Barnabas played a crucial role in welcoming St. Paul after his conversion, advocating for him when others were understandably hesitant. He later travelled with Paul on missionary journeys, proclaiming the Gospel and helping establish Christian communities throughout the Mediterranean world.

St Barnabas reminds us that the growth of the Church depends not only on great preachers and leaders, but also on those willing to encourage others, recognise potential where others see doubt, and faithfully support the mission of Christ.

St. Barnabas, pray for us 🙏

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever" - John 6:51

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. We give thanks for the gift of the Eucharist and Christ being truly present among us.

Corpus Christi invites us to honour the Blessed Sacrament and reflect on the profound mystery at the heart of our faith: that Jesus nourishes us with His very Body and Blood, strengthening us to live as His disciples in the world.

Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, have mercy on us 🙏

Today we celebrate Saint Boniface, the great missionary known as the “Apostle of Germany.”

Born in England in the 8th century, he dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel across Europe, establishing churches and monasteries, and strengthening the faith of countless communities. He was eventually martyred while carrying out his missionary work.

St. Boniface reminds us that faith is meant to be lived boldly and shared generously. His example encourages us to remain faithful to Christ and to witness to the Gospel with courage, perseverance, and charity.

St. Boniface, pray for us 🙏🏻

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.

Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles fifty days after Easter.

Through the gift of the Spirit, fearful hearts were transformed into courageous witnesses to Christ, marking the beginning of the Church’s mission to proclaim His Gospel to all nations.

“Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.” - Psalm 104:30

“And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.” Matthew 28:20.

Today we celebrate the Ascension of the Lord, when Jesus returned to the Father to open the way to eternal life.

Before ascending into heaven, He entrusted his disciples with the mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations.

The Ascension reminds us that Christ remains with us always, guiding His Church and drawing us toward heaven.

As we await Pentecost, may we continue to live with faith and trust in His promise.
