Pastoral Appointments and Parish Leadership Change
Fr Mathew Kochuveettil, currently Parish Priest of Atherton (Ravenshoe), will take up the role of Dean of St Monica’s Cathedral, serving as Parish Priest of Parramatta Park and Cairns North. Fr Roy Neervelil, presently Dean of St Monica’s Cathedral (Parramatta Park, Cairns North), will be appointed Parish Priest of Atherton. In addition, Fr Santhosh George, currently Assistant Priest in Innisfail with pastoral responsibilities for the Gulf Savannah parish, will move to Atherton as Assistant Priest while continuing his pastoral service to the Gulf Savannah community. We thank these priests for their generous service and ask you to keep them in your prayers as they begin their new ministries. The changes in Parish Priest roles are effective as of Wednesday 10 June 2026. The changes in the
Assistant Priest roles are effective as of Wednesday 27 May.

Blessing of Cars, Transport, Homes & Shops
