We live in a world obsessed by image. Images influence us, challenge us and inspire us. Yet images are not enough, we need substance and reality. God invites us to go deeper. God invites us into his family and to transform us to be like Him.

Why should we bother with God? Should Christians bother people about God? ‘God Botherer’ is an old phrase that reflects classic Australian irreverence. The idea is that we should just leave one another alone, 'live and let live!' Yet, even that idea of tolerance comes out of a Christian world view. 2 Corinthians 5:10-6:2, shows us that a real reconciliation begins with God and continues with us.

How do you identify yourself? What do you call yourself? You can identify as progressive, as conservative, by your sexuality, by your career, by your family, by your hobbies or even identify with a different species. In 2 Corinthians 4:6-18 God identifies Christians as common clay pots where the treasure of God shines. God’s identity for us frees us from many of the modern identity problems and gives us a deep purpose and resilience.

Playgroup outing day!

Today we take selfies, we self-congratulate, self-actualise, take mental health days to self regulate, we are self absorbed, struggle with self-esteem, many self-harm . We can be self-serving, self-centered. With all our self-focus we are not satisfied. How can we get over ourselves? 2 Corinthians 4:1-15 calls Christians to be very different. Join us Sunday at 10am

What are you known for?
One of my old friends is known as ‘the guy who fixes things’. We can be known for things we are good at, or sometimes even for the silly things we have done. Our identity is something that builds as we continue in life.
