As Synod 2026 approaches, we are 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 for vacancies on several committees, councils and boards, including:
👉 Synod Standing Committee
👉 Placements Committee Chairperson
👉 18th Assembly July 2027.
The only committee that requires nominees to be a Synod meeting member is Synod Standing Committee. For all other vacancies, nominees must be confirmed members of the Uniting Church.

During Synod 2026, you are invited to attend a public event featuring 𝗦𝘁𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻, CEO of Sydney’s Wesley Mission (and former SA Synod General Secretary), who will be speaking on the topic ‘The Whole Gospel: Evangelism, Justice and the Mission of God: Good News and Gambling Reform’.
Stu is an entertaining and gifted speaker who brings a unique perspective to tackling some of the most significant challenges facing Australian society.
You do not need to be a Synod member to attend.
