Bayside Anglican Church

Bayside Anglican Church Our mission is to love God and his people, grow in Christlikeness through the Holy Spirit, and share the message of Jesus with people of all nations.

Our members come from Greek, Asian, Arab, Italian, Spanish, Anglo-Saxon and many other backgrounds. But we all have one thing in common, that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour. We do not deny our cultures, we simply put the cross at the centre of our cultures and allow God’s word to reshape them. We are a Bible believing Church that wants everyone to hear of God’s great love shown in Jesus Chri

st. We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God that has the final authority in all things relating to our faith. We allow it to set our agenda for us by looking through a book of the Bible section by section each week so that nothing is missed. Above all we seek to glorify our God by proclaiming his great salvation that he accomplished for us in the death and resurrection of his only Son Jesus Christ. We call people to turn to him, trust in Jesus and live a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit. Come check us out Sundays at 9:30am and 6pm!

This Sunday we are returning to our sermon series on “Places of Biblical Significance”.Six sermons down, three to go! This coming Sunday we’ll visit a Greek Island that the Apostle Paul spent one night at, to hear about “Spiritual Healing”. It will be a special talk for
people in the medical profession and those not in the medical profession (that is, everyone!).
Hope to see you there!

As we look towards the birth of Jesus in Luke’s gospel, we see how Mary is reminded of God’s promises and responds in a joyous song to the lord. Although Christmas is usually thought of as a time of joy, the reality is that due to our earthly circumstances, for many of us, it isn’t. Ryan’s sermon yesterday reminded us that real joy is only found through the birth of Jesus, as he is the only one who truly brings a reversal to our eternal circumstances.

It feels a lot like Christmas as we celebrate Jesus' birth here at Bayside. Jeremy shared the great message of Jesus that he was the promised Son of God, our King and our Saviour. We were encouraged to consider through our week what we love to remember about Jesus at Christmas time. Come along next week to hear some more great Christmas carols and another great talk about Jesus.
