Welcome to the Saints Mary and Joseph Cathedral Parish website. Armidale is a picturesque, provincial city on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia. The Catholic Parish of around 5,500 people includes surrounding rural lands extending some 45 kms north-south and 110 kms east-west. The Cathedral spire rises above the surrounding locale and is visible from most parts of the city.

I am very grateful to Shane Chaffey, Armidale Regional Council and the Armidale Lions Club for providing these beautiful Nativity figures which were displayed in Central Park for many years. They now have a new home on the verandah of the Holy Family Parish Centre this Christmas. My thanks also go to those generous parishioners who assisted in creating the enclosure. Fr Damien
