Vinnies NSW New England North West This is the page for the Armidale Central Diocese for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of New South Wales. Seeking assistance? Call 13 18 12.

We are the Armidale Central Diocese for the St. We run 19 Stores from between Qurindi in the South to Tenterfield in the North and from Armidale in the East as far West as Walgett. We service most of the towns in between. We also operate a large Distribution centre at 11 Bundarra Road in Armidale - right next to Richardsons Hardware on the edge of the industrial estate on the West side of Armidale

city. The Centre also has a Superstore where a lot of our furniture is sold. Please note we only deliver bulky goods (mainly furniture) to the following towns: Armidale, Guyra, Glen Innes, Inverell, Uralla, Walcha, and Tamworth. The St Vincent de Paul Society was founded by a 20 year old student named Frederic Ozanam in 1833. It was established by like minded individuals who wished to put their faith into action. This compassionate outlook, enthusiasm and vision continues today in Australia. There are thousands of people who every day share their time, care for humanity and energy to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people all around Australia. A great About Us page helps builds trust between you and your customers. The more content you provide about you and your business, the more confident people will be when purchasing from your store. Vinnies Tenterfield Members joined the community of Dumaresq Valley over the long weekend for a ‘Farmers Day Off’. People there have been facing some challenges, not least a prolonged dry spell, so decided to hold a social event for people to relax and enjoy change of pace.

Entertainment was provided by well-known singer/songwriter Brendan Wamsley and several support organisations were represented along with our good folks from Vinnies to let the community know what services are available to them as we provide a hand up for those struggling during these times.

If you’d like to get involved with the important work Vinnies does in your community why not become a Member.

Last Saturday, Vinnies members and friends fired up the BBQ at Bunnings Tamworth — it was a great day all round.

We raised more than $2,100 to support the work of St Louise Care and Support Conference and Rosalie House in Tamworth as well as St Josephs Conference in Quirindi.

Rosalie House provides support for adults experiencing substance dependency while the two Conferences provide support to people in the community who might need assistance in these tough times.

Special thanks to our friends from the Regional Australia Bank, who not only contributed to the inputs for the BBQ but also turned up and sold sausages on the day.

If you’d like to get involved with the important work Vinnies does in your community why not become a Member.

Many renters in NSW are living in homes that are cold, inefficient, and expensive to run.

Vinnies NSW supports the introduction of Mandatory Energy Efficiency Standards for rental homes because renters deserve safe, healthy homes.

The NSW Government is now seeking feedback and renters’ voices matter.

Congratulations to Nick Hanson for being awarded the Armidale Senior Volunteer of the Year AND Armidale Volunteer of the Year for his work with Vinnies.

Nick's service to the Armidale community through his hard work volunteering with Vinnies St Joseph’s Conference is very well deserved. Nick shared that he was thrilled to receive this award and was very pleased with the recognition of Vinnies role in supporting people who are doing it tough.

Photographed with Nick are Todd Redwood (Armidale Deputy Mayor), Brendon Moylan (State MP for Northern Tablelands) and Kay Endres (Councillor)
