A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the 2026 Armidale Vinnies Community Sleepout.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, donors and local community, Armidale has reached its $38,000 Sleepout goal.

More than 60 people attended on the evening and 20 people chose to sleep out to help raise awareness of homelessness and hardship in our region.

Last Saturday we had a Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings as a prelude to our upcoming Community Sleepout to be held this Friday 28th August.

Great thanks to our friends from Regional Australia Bank, Tiarna and Emma, for coming along and helping out at Bunnings last Saturday. Also to RAB for their generous assistance providing the sausages.

This Friday night, the Armidale community will come together for the 2026 Armidale Vinnies Community Sleepout.

Participants will sleep rough for one night to raise awareness of homelessness and raise funds for the Start Fresh Community Connections Program, run through Freeman House in Armidale.

If you are not attending, you can still support the event by donating or backing a participant.

One week to go!

In two weeks time, participants across NSW will take part in the Vinnies Community Sleepouts in Albury, Armidale, Dubbo, Greater Sydney, Orange and the Southern Highlands. We will be sleeping outdoors for one night to raise awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness and hardship.

This is your last chance to get involved! You can register for your local event, or, if you're unable to join us on the night, please consider making a donation.

Your support can help provide practical assistance, food, housing support and hope to people facing difficult circumstances in our community.
