๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒฟ 9 September โ€“ Feast of St Peter Claver ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ™

Today we remember St Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest who dedicated his life to serving enslaved people arriving in Colombia. He treated every person with dignity, compassion and love, seeing Christ in those who were suffering.

Maryโ€™s birth marks the beginning of the life of the woman who would humbly say โ€œyesโ€ to God and become the Mother of our Saviour. Her life reminds us that God can work through our simple, faithful โ€œyesโ€ each day.

Today, follow Maryโ€™s example by saying โ€œyesโ€ to God in one small wayโ€”through an act of kindness, patience, prayer or helping someone in need.

๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒŽ WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR CREATION โ€” 1 SEPTEMBER ๐Ÿ™

Today we join Christians around the world in giving thanks to God for the beautiful gift of Creation and praying for our common home.

Creation is not simply something we useโ€”it is a gift entrusted to our care. We are called to protect the earth, care for one another, and make choices that respect the dignity of all Godโ€™s creation.

๐Ÿ’ญ Reflection:
How can I show greater gratitude and care for Godโ€™s Creation in my everyday life?

๐Ÿก Take-Home Challenge:
Choose one small action this week to care for our common homeโ€”waste less, save water, plant something, or help keep our surroundings clean.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer:
Creator God, thank You for the wonder and beauty of Your Creation. Open our hearts to care for our common home and to be responsible stewards of all You have entrusted to us. Amen.

๐ŸŒฟ Sunday Gospel Reflection โ€” Matthew 16:21โ€“27 ๐ŸŒฟ

Jesus reminds us that following Him means more than simply believing in Him. It means being willing to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him.

The readings challenge us to surrender our own plans and allow God to transform our hearts. Sometimes the path of faith is difficult, but when we place God first, we discover a deeper and more meaningful life.

๐Ÿ’ญ Key Thought:
When we surrender to God, we gain true life.

๐Ÿ  Take-Home Challenge:
This week, let go of one worry, resentment or personal desire and place it into Godโ€™s hands. Ask Him to show you His way.

๐Ÿ™ Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me to trust You, carry my crosses with faith, and follow You with an open heart. May my life always reflect Your love. Amen.

Here is the parish bulletin. Have a blessed week! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ€
