Hello and thank you for joining with Alstonville Anglicans, it is good that we can make contact whereever you are in the world or whatever time you chose.

Jesus was always being challenged by the religious leaders of his day. He never came to set up another religion, he called for discipleship. Today we see his wisdom as he says 'Give to Caesar the things that belong to him and give to God what is God's'

Grief brings many emotions. We carry loss with us and within us, and there is no single way or timetable for grieving. We warmly invite you to our Memorial Service, a time to honour and remember loved ones who have died.
Date: Sunday 8 November 2026
Time: 6 pm
Venue: Alstonville Anglicans Ministry Centre
Address: 6–8 The Avenue, Alstonville
Our guest speaker will be Kimitra Walker, a spiritual mentor and counsellor with more than twenty years’ experience supporting people through life’s joys and difficulties. Kimitra brings care for the whole person, recognising the spiritual, practical, emotional and relational dimensions of our lives.
What happens during the service?
We will listen to gentle music, hear a reflection from Kimitra, and share moments of silence and prayer. You will be invited to light a candle in memory of your loved one.
You are also welcome to bring a photograph of your loved one to place on the table or altar at the start of the service.
There is no expectation to speak or share your story. You are welcome simply to sit and be present, taking part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
We hope the service will offer a gentle space to remember and find companionship in grief.
You are welcome to bring a friend or family member.
Whether or not you can join us, you remain in our prayers.
May God’s gentle presence hold you in your grief.
May love surround you,
and peace find you in its own time.
