Our prayers are with the Muslim community of the Islamic Centre of San Diego. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. We strongly condemn this horrific attack and extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who have been killed. May Allah grant them Paradise, grant healing to the injured, and give patience and strength to the community during this painful time.

Our mosques must remain places of peace, safety, and worship — never targets of hatred, violence, or terror.

Therefore, the month of Dhul Ḥijjah will commence on Tuesday, 19th May 2026.

Improving Palliative Care for Muslim Patients.

Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to present today at Mercy Hospital Albury on providing culturally and spiritually sensitive palliative care for Muslim patients.

It was a beneficial session with a great turnout from healthcare workers and a valuable opportunity to share the needs of our elderly Muslim community, build understanding about Islam, and strengthen community connections.

Assalamu Alaikum,

On behalf of the ISAW Committee, we wish you and your families Eid Mubarak!

🕌 Eid Prayer Details:
* Time: 8:30 AM sharp
* Followed by: Khutbah
Please arrive early to ensure we can begin on time.

🍽️ We encourage everyone to bring 2 plates of food to share after the prayer and enjoy time together as a community.

🚗 Parking Reminder:�Please be mindful of our neighbours:
* No parallel parking
* No parking on nature strips
* Especially avoid parking along the road next to the mosque where retirement homes are located
* The carpark will be reserved for disabled parking only
* The area will be used for sharing food and a safe play space for children (weather permitting)

Highschool Students Visit Albury Mosque

Today we welcomed local high school students to the Albury Mosque as part of their studies on religion. The students learned about Islam, including our beliefs, the Qur’an, prayer, Ramadan, and the role of the mosque in the community.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the meaning and purpose of life in Islam.
It was a great opportunity to build understanding and share knowledge.

We pray that these moments of learning and dialogue continue to bring our communities closer together.

Alhamdulillah, our Ramadan Community Iftar & Dinner was a successful gathering.

On behalf of the ISAW committee, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, volunteered, brought food, and helped organise the event. Your generosity, time, and efforts truly made the evening special. It was great to see our community come together to break fast, share a meal, and strengthen our bonds for the sake of Allah.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu dear brothers and sisters,

Following the announcement from Moonsighting Australia, the crescent moon has not been sighted in Australia tonight.

✨ The 1st of Ramadan will be Friday, 20th February 2026, InshaAllah.
🕌 Taraweeh begins Thursday night at 9:55pm at ISAW.

This is a month of mercy, forgiveness, and transformation. A month to reconnect with the Qur’an, to stand in prayer, and to come together as one community seeking Allah’s pleasure. Let us begin it with sincerity and unity.

To ensure a smooth and blessed Ramadan for everyone, please:
- Park only in designated areas and respect our neighbours.
- Bring your own water bottles.
- Leave quietly if departing before the completion of 20 raka’at.
- Please download the Masjidal Athan+ App and search for Islamic Society of Albury Wodonga to stay updated with accurate prayer times, iftar timings and important announcements throughout Ramadan.

Let us fill the masjid, strengthen our brotherhood and sisterhood, and make this a Ramadan to remember.
May Allah allow us to witness it, benefit from it, and accept it from us all. 🤲
