The Tingsons have been called to go to Australia to share the Gospel, start new churches, & train nationals. Garry was born in the Philippines in 1983. When he was 4, his family migrated to Australia where he spent the rest of his childhood. He attended Queensland Baptist College for his first year in college & moved to the United States in 2003 to attend Hyles-Anderson College. In 2007, Garry gr
aduated from H.A.C. with a Bachelor’s in Pastoral Theology and in 2008 he graduated with his Master’s in Education for School Administration. Garry has been on staff as a Pastor’s assistant and school teacher since 2009 at Lakecrest Baptist Church. Mindy was born and raised in Michigan. She has been a part of Lakecrest Baptist Church all her life and has even served as a part-time teacher there. Mindy graduated at Hyles-Anderson College in 2013 with her Associates in Elementary Education. Garry & Mindy were married on July 25th, 2009. They have three kids: Rhys, Elin, & Gwen. Garry has always known the need in Australia. It’s only been recently that he knew God was calling him back to Australia to serve Him there. He has dual citizenship in Australia and the United States. This is a great advantage to entering Australia as missionaries. Other American missionaries wanting to enter Australia must enter through other avenues besides religious visas as they are no longer available. Garry was commisioned at First Baptist Church of Hammond on March 15, 2017 by FBMI. He was ordained into the ministry on July 16, 2017 at Lakecrest Baptist Church, the Tingson’s sending church. Please pray for the Tingsons as they seek to do the Lord’s will in Australia. Pray for them while they are on deputation to raise support from churches and individuals who share the same vision to reach the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
