Chappy Todd update: From Chappy Todd & T🩵
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
Whoosh! We honestly cannot believe that Week 4 is already behind us. We came into this fortnight with some anxiety because the medical team warned us that Weeks 3 and 4 would be the beginning of the bad journey.
But guess what? Todd is doing incredibly well and completely beating the odds!
The verse that is carrying us into this next week is Psalm 98:1:
"Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him."
While the feeding tube has caused a few up-and-down days, the infection is slowly clearing up. Todd missed his chapel prayer meetings lately, but he's hoping to return this Wednesday!
In the meantime, God has brought some wonderful new connections to our ward, including Alan from the Gideon Bible group, and Narelle, a lovely volunteer who lost her husband to brain cancer years ago. Her heart has been such a breath of fresh air. Also, a huge thank you to the kind soul who donated coffee vouchers while down in Brissy after seeing Todd’s Facebook video!

Friday threw a bit of a curveball. Due to scheduled equipment servicing, Todd had to endure a "double dose" of radiation in a single day. He handled it incredibly well!
On Saturday, he was granted sday leave. T snuck him out to see, "We Live Here" circus production, run in partnership with Hummingbird House (a hospice end of life for children). It did Todd’s spirit a world of good to breathe some fresh air and witness something so full of life and purpose.

An amazing surprise miracle. Dr Emily excitedly showed us Todd’s latest scan. Instead of a random, ugly blob, the tumor is perfectly shaped like an eighth musical note! It’s a beautiful reminder that God is still writing a masterpiece through Todd’s life.

Our new grandson, Micah, was born on the 15 June in Washington DC to son Jamason and daughter in law Zarima, weighing a whopping 10lbs!
Micah arrived just three weeks after his cousin Paloma was born to our daughter Jada and Emmanuel. God has truly showered our family with double the blessings and baby cuddles in less than a month!
As for managing the hospital routine, T is trying her best to put down her "Martha" checklist and just sit still like "Mary." Todd is checking in asking: "Are you Mary or Martha today?" It’s a daily lesson in knowing when to act, and when to be absolutely still. This is a foreign place for Todd and T.
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the GoFundMe support; these funds will help our community. We are also incredibly thankful for the unity among our local church families; Fig Tree, Catholic, Rosedale, Lifestyle, and Baptist church.

Todd is looking forward to a visit from Charlie Girl (dog) but had to get a permission slip from students Lincoln and Savannah who are looking after her so beautifully.
