A religious ceremony was held at the Gold Coast Buddhist Centre on 1 January 2026 to bless everyone for the New Year. The event was conducted by Venerable Anuradhapura Ariyajeewa Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Gold Coast Buddhist Centre. During the ceremony, Ven. Thero explained the positive impact of taking time for self-reflection through meditation and how this practice contributes positively to individuals’ lives. The event concluded with a shared breakfast, generously organised by members of the community, fostering fellowship and unity.

== End of Term 4 Dhamma School Excursion==
Dhamma School has successfully completed the year 2025, marking a beautiful and meaningful journey for all our students, parents, and teachers.

We are delighted to share a few moments from our End of Term 4 Excursion, held on Saturday, 6th December, at Jabiru Island Park, Paradise Point.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, learning, and togetherness. Students, parents, and teachers enjoyed a peaceful nature walk along the 330-metre boardwalk, surrounded by stunning mangroves and the calming sounds of nature, leading to a magnificent sea eagle eyrie. It was a wonderful opportunity for our children to connect with the environment while reflecting on the values learned throughout the year.
Following the walk, everyone gathered to share delicious refreshments, kind conversations, and warm smiles. We concluded the afternoon with a joyful prize-giving ceremony, celebrating the hard work, commitment, and growth of our Dhamma School students. The excitement and happiness on the children’s faces made it a truly memorable and heartwarming way to end the term.

An event to mark the end of the rainy season was held on the 25th of October 2025 under the guidance of Venerable Anuradhapura Ariyajeewa Thero, the Chief Incumbent of the Gold Coast Buddhist Centre. Monks from Brisbane and Toowoomba also participated in this special occasion. As customary, devotees generously prepared and offered food for the event.

With great reverence, the Venerable Theros arrived at the hall in a colourful perahera led by the Dhamma School children. The ceremony was filled with devotion, respect, and joy from everyone who attended. The event concluded with the offering of pirikara organised by the devotees.

Heartfelt thanks to all who worked tirelessly to make this occasion a truly memorable one. 🙏
