This is us...

Firle Ward is a congregational unit of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 120 Gage Street, FIRLE, South Australia. As the name of the church suggests, we worship Jesus Christ, but not just by attending our Sunday meetings and partaking of the sacrament, but also through actively seeking opportunities to serve our community, and helping each other become our best selves in five core aspects of life well-lived - Service to others, Spiritual, Physical, Social and Intellectual. When these are in place, we find that the other parts of our life take care of themselves.

We also welcome those not of our faith to come and share their talents with us. We run regular activities for our children, youth and adult members of our congregation for expanding our experiences, for learning and for fun (anything from learning how to cook and family history to pickup basketball). If you so feel inclined to participate, please contact us. We’d love to have you join us.

If you simply would like some help in the form of extra sets of arms and legs (eg for cleaning up yards, chopping down trees, hauling dirt from place to place, temporary help with meals etc), also please let us know. We are always looking for opportunities to serve. Many hands make light work. We have recently had groups participating in clean up working bees in areas recently affected by bushfires.

Finally, if you’re looking for a family friendly congregation to simply workship God, please come and join us at 120 Gage Street FIRLE. Our weekly Sunday Sacrament meetings begin at 9am and finish at 10am, after which we have another hour of classes. When you come visit, please make known that you are visiting and we’ll make sure there’s someone with you to navigate your way around.
