Don’t forget Pilgrim has a new page https:www.facebook.comprofile.phpid=61578451529966. This coming Monday May 4th Sue Baker will be gracing the stage at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm.
Serious songwriting started after the kids left home and at 55 Sue finally recorded a debut album ”Bit of Earth” in 2010, and now has a second album called “Lovers Moon”. Her songs are always full of rich metaphors of nature about life. Her music is a mix of alternative folk, with hints of jazz and blues in the mix. Sue’s gigs include a mix of covers, in amongst her own songs. Influences include: Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Norah Jones, Missy Higgins, Patty Griffin, The Audreys and wonderful locals like Very Jane, Free Genie to name a few.
Sue will be joined with local musicians Nigel Sweeting and Stephen Loss.

Today at Music on Flinders we moved inside the glorious Pilgrim Church to enjoy the beautiful dulcet tones of Cloudy Davey as she performed some of her gorgeous original songs and some classic covers including Elton John’s Your Song.

This coming Monday April 13th the Music on Flinders stage will be graced by the immensely talented songstress Cloudy Davey. Cloudy Davey is a singer/songwriter based in the Barossa Valley. Described as a singer with both sweetness and grit. Cloudy has shared her love of song all over the country, lending her warm tones in many collaborations.
A genuinely diverse Diva of rich talent, Cloudy Davey’s refreshingly original music is a wonderfully eclectic mix of musical temperaments that draw from both traditional and contemporary roots.

At Music on Flinders, Buffalo Drive brought their unique blend of Aussie rock to the stage, blending classic songs by South Australian musicians with their own original 70s hit, Life’s Been Good to Me. The audience was visibly entertained, singing along and dancing.

Next Monday March 30th Buffalo Drive will be performing their unique Aussie rock at Music on Flinders from 12.30 -1pm.
Life’s been good to me’ on Polydor climbed to #8 on the 5AD charts, which was pretty good for local rock/harmony band Buffalo Drive.
After winning the 1973 ‘Live Act’ 5KA Rock Award at the Festival Theatre they toured South Australia city and country; Melbourne, Perth and Sydney; schools, churches, festivals, pubs and clubs.
They were together (6 piece then 4 piece) for 4 frantic years before they went their separate ways, often musical. 2 members (Valdis & Hayden) have died, 4 are still alive and kicking - David, (Graham), Rodney (Bods), Vello and Rod. Buffalo Drive in it’s revived format are joined by guitarist and singer Peter Farley and singer Georgina Nou.
