✝️Tonight at Panagia Despina (Kapiris Farm), we gather with joy and reverence to honour our Most Holy Theotokos — Παναγία μας.

For generations, Panagia has been a source of faith, comfort, hope and protection for our families and our community.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Con, Jimmy and the Kapiris family for their continued support of the Greek Orthodox community of South Australia. Through their generosity and commitment, they help strengthen our faith, preserve our traditions and bring our community closer together.

May Panagia continue to watch over us, bless our loved ones and guide us ever closer to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

This isn’t just an old photograph… these are some of the men who literally helped build Panagia.

Long before the festivals, the celebrations and everything we know today, these dedicated founding members put in the hard work, sweat and countless hours to help turn a dream into a home for our community. 🙏

Looking at this photo, it’s incredible to think that the foundations they helped lay all those years ago are still standing today — and that generations of our community have walked through those doors since.

These are the OGs. The pioneers. The men who helped build Panagia, both literally and figuratively. ❤️

A photo worth preserving and remembering.

❤️ And Panagia became a home for generations to come.

And amongst all the chaos and excitement, I thought it was only fitting to slow things down and share a throwback or two. ❤️

🙏🏼✨ Since we’re honouring our beautiful icon of Panagia, it’s only fitting that we take a little trip back to the early ’90s. ❤️

Courtesy of GOCSA, here’s a very special throwback — the exact same icon being carried around the block during one of Panagia’s celebrations. 🕊️

Just look at this piece of history… the icon, the people, the streets, and the memories. What makes it even more special is knowing that this is the very icon we’re celebrating today. 🇬🇷🙏🏼

Some things change with time, but the love and devotion to Panagia remain the same. ❤️
