Really enjoyed a talk at Church on Sunday from Michael who spoke on a book he'd recently read called "unreasonable hospitality."
Such a practical book.. which mirrored sentiments of how WE should treat each other and our God, in our service, spirit and love.
• God has given us abundantly; excessive acts of generosity: our healthy bodies, taste, hearing, sight.. colours, stars. Not just survival means, but enjoyment like laughter and beauty!
• Jesus on many occasions gave generously - so much wine from water, loaves and fishes a plenty, fish that burst nets!
Everyone wants to be taken care of : so let's care for each other, the little things mean a lot.
A smile. Your time.
"Give them more than they expect"
Jesus' greatest display of love for us was giving his life. God wants to give us His Kingdom.
The Father to the Prodigal son: went above and beyond, no barriers.
It was such a good talk that I've pondered during this week ~ let's give that little bit more in our attention, our love, our effort, our commitment.. break down the barriers and build genuine relationships.
See a need and help.
