The parish was blessed today with The Rev'd Ben Falcon who came and preached for our Anglicare SA Sunday. Last year Anglicare assisted over 51000 people, imagine a packed Adelaide Oval full of people assisted by the good work that happens through them.

In response to Bondi terrorism, our churches will be open for prayer this week. Besides the morning prayer times of 8 am-8.15am Monday-Friday (Mile End), churches will be open at the following hours.

The Church of the Resurrection, Kidman Park (Lady's Chapel and Calvary Garden)
Wednesday, Thursday 10am-2 pm
St James Church, Mile End
Monday 1.30 pm- 4 pm
Tuesday, Friday 10 am-4 pm.

Our prayers are with the victims of this terrible incident.

โ€œFriends, as you are aware, the Reverend Zinkoo Han has been the parish priest here at Kidman Park and Mile End since 2014. He has led us faithfully over the past 11 years, and we give thanks to God for his leadership and ministry amongst us.

It is now time for Zinkoo to move on to the next season of his ministry, so I am letting you know that Zinkoo has accepted a position as Health Care Chaplain within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, commencing on the 26th January next year. His final Sunday in the parish will be the 28th December, after which he will take the leave that is owed to him.

I am sure you will join with me in thanking Zinkoo for his ministry among us, and in prayers for he and the family for his transition to his new role.

The Parish Nomination Committee as elected at the last Annual Vestry Meeting will be formed in the new year, and work with our Archdeacon, Sam Goodes, and Bishop Sophie to begin the process for finding a new priest for the parish of Kidman Park / Mile Endโ€
