It was a real blessing as a church this last Sunday to hear from our nearest neighbour! As part of our Missions Month, Principal Henry Engelbrecht came and shared with us about God's heart for all generations, but especially the next generation - our children and grandchildren need to hear of the mighty works and goodness of God (Psalm 145:4). They need to hear our testimonies of faith in Jesus and all God has done, and they need instruction in his word, ways, and character.

We are so grateful to have those in our community who share our heart for God's Kingdom and are sharing and living the good news of Jesus in impactful ways.

Pray for Sunrise Christian School Marion and their continued faithful work of educating the next generation in the truths and light of Jesus.

Week 2 of our Mission Month a couple weeks back had a focus on the Heart of God. He is compassionate, and sometimes uncomfortably so!

Jonah knew of God's compassion and it made him angry when it was directed to his enemies (Jonah 4:2), but it is this same compassion that saves all sinners, and is our only hope.

God has shown his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:7-8).

Everyone needs this love of God that can forgive, transform our hearts and lives, and give us purpose - to declare his grace!

The next generation is shaped by the voices they hear most. Henry Engelbrecht, Principal of Sunrise Christian School - Marion, points to Psalm 145 and the responsibility to declare God's works from one generation to another. John Ewers from Destiny Rescue started off our Missions Month with a powerful reminder of God's heart for the most vulnerable in our world who are in need of rescue. While always confronting to hear of the evil in our world, it was also encouraging to know of the courageous work being carried out by many going into the darkest places to bring life and hope to those in literal bo***ge.

If you are in Christ, you do not stand condemned. John Ewers from Destiny Rescue Australia draws from Romans 8:1–11 to remind believers that the Holy Spirit already dwells in them as Helper, seal, and enabler. Rather than living from fear, failure, or the flesh, you are called to walk by the Spirit, repent when convicted, and bear fruit that witnesses to the world around you.
