庆祝文殊菩萨圣诞通告
文殊菩萨，梵名Mañjuśrī ，音译作文殊师利、曼殊室利、满祖室哩，意译为妙德、妙吉祥、妙乐、法王子。又称文殊师利童真、孺童文殊菩萨。为佛教四大菩萨之一。与般若经典关系甚深，故称为大智文殊师利菩萨 。
文殊菩萨是大智慧的象征，能开发智慧，提高悟性，尤其能帮助小孩学业有成、官人福禄双增、商人增财增福。

农历四月初四为文殊菩萨圣诞，本寺谨定于西历2026年5月17日星期日上午九时起举行庆祝仪式。值此圣诞殊胜日，欢迎广大善信前来寺院诵经礼佛，祈愿菩萨保佑众生消除语业，破除愚痴，得诸佛菩萨之般若智慧。

The notice of Bodhisattva Manjusri’s Birthday celebration
Manjusri Bodhisattva, the Sanskrit name Mañjuśrī, is transliterated as Manjushri, Manjushri, and Manzushili, and its meanings in translation is excellent virtue, wonderfully auspicious, wonderful happiness, and Dharma Prince. Also known as Manjushri innocent, the child Manjusri Bodhisattva. It is one of the four great bodhisattvas of Buddhism. It has a deep relationship with the Prajna classics, so it is called the Great Wisdom Manjusri Bodhisattva.
Manjusri Bodhisattva is a symbol of great wisdom. It can develop wisdom and improve understanding. It can especially help children achieving academic success, officials and people will increase their wealth and fortune, and businessmen will increase their wealth blessings.
The fourth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar is Manjushri Bodhisattva's birthday. Our temple will hold a celebration ceremony at 9:00 am on Sunday, May 17, 2026. On this special birthday celebration day, devotees are welcome to come to our temple to chant Sutra and pay homage to the Buddha and pray that the Bodhisattva will bless all the sentient beings to eliminate speech karma, get rid of ignorance, and gain the Prajna wisdom of all Buddha and Bodhisattvas.

Tian Hou Bodhisattva's Birthday Celebration

Tian Hou Bodhisattva, also known as Mazu, is a highly influential goddess
in folk religion, hailed as the foremost female Sea Goddess. Mazu's real
name was Lin Moniang. Her family was a prominent clan in Putian, Fujian,
for generations. Their descendants went into seclusion and retired to
Meizhou Island. Her mother became pregnant after dreaming of Guanyin
Bodhisattva. Lin Moniang was born on the 23rd day of the third lunar month.
Mazu was intelligent and well-versed in poetry and literature from a young
age. At the age of 13, she received instruction in spiritual cultivation from
a Taoist priest, and by 16, she possessed spiritual powers, rescuing
those in distress. She ascended to heaven on the 9th day of the 9th lunar
month of the year she turned 26. The local residents built a small shrine in her
honor, respectfully calling her the "Spiritual Goddess." Later, through
various dynasties, she acquired the title "Heavenly Holy Mother." In
common parlance, she is respectfully addressed as Mazu, Empress of
Heaven, or Heavenly Princess.
The 23rd day of the third lunar month is the birthday of Tian Hou
Bodhisattva. Our temple will hold a celebration ceremony on May 10th,
2026 (Sunday) at 9:00 AM. Attendees can celebrate Tian Hou
Bodhisattva's birthday and also can light the candles for the blessing for
their families and make sincere wishes. All are welcome to attend. To
pray for peace and blessings and share in the Dharma benefits. The
temple will also prepare delicious vegetarian food to share with everyone
on that day fostering good relationships.

The Notice of Sakyamuni Bodhisattva's Birthday Celebration and Vesak Dharma Assembly
Every year, the full moon day of the fifteenth day of the fourth month of the lunar calendar is Vesak Day, also known as the Buddha's Auspicious Day. It is stipulated by the United Nations that Buddhists celebrate the birth, enlightenment, and Nirvana of Sakyamuni Buddha. Buddhists will bathe the Buddha with a pure and pious heart on that day, and follow the teachings and steps of the Buddha, purify their hearts, and cultivate concentration through precepts, meditation, and grow together in the Dharma, from light to light.

The SA Zhulin Buddhist Association Inc. will commence the celebration ceremony at 9:00 am on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

We sincerely invite all devotees to come to the celebration and to tell each other of the celebration. Together we enjoy the grace of the Dharma and the Joy of the Dharma and form good relationships!

Activities on Vesak Day are as follows:
1. The annual "Buddha Bathing on Vesak Day" Dharma Assembly starts at 9:00 a.m. Through the merit of bathing the Buddha, we can cleanse the impurity from our body, mouth, and thoughts, pray for the Buddha’s blessing; eliminate the bad karma, and bless the whole family with good luck and peace, and pray that all sentient beings can open the Buddha's wisdom; stay away from dust and dirt, and attain the supreme Bodhi together.

2. The annual food fair sale of Asian flavors of vegetarian food and the proceeds from the charity sale will be used as development and expansion fund.

3. International Day of Families, ceremonies of gratitude and thanksgiving to parents. During the ceremony, we will thank the Abbot and the Venerable for their compassion and teaching, we present the flowers to the Abbot and Venerable and the children will present the flowers to their parents. The children will also present cards and words of gratitude to their parents. Wishing the elders all the best, good health, and Longevity!

每年的农历四月十五月圆日为卫塞节，也称为佛吉祥日。是经联合国规定，佛教徒庆祝释迦.牟尼佛诞生，成道及涅盘的日子。佛教徒在当日会以一颗清净、虔诚的心为佛陀沐浴，并依循佛陀的敦教和步伐，透过持戒，禅修净化内心及培育定力，共同在法上增长，从光明走向光明。

南澳竹林寺谨订于西历2026年5月24日星期天上午九时起开启庆祝仪式，诚邀广大善信互相转告，普来聚会，共沐法恩，同沾法喜，广结善缘！

卫塞节当日活动如下：
一. 上午九时起开启一年一度的“卫塞节浴佛”法会，藉由为佛陀沐浴之功德，洗净我们身、口、意念之尘垢，求佛加被，消.除业障，保.佑全家获福平安，并祈愿一切众生能开启佛陀智慧，远离尘垢，同证无上菩提。

二. 一年一度的亚.洲各式风味素食义卖，义卖所得款項将用于扩建基金。

三. 国际家庭日，知恩和感恩双亲仪式。仪式上将感恩法师们的慈悲与教诲，并为法师们及双亲敬献鲜花，儿女还将为双亲献上心意卡和感谢词，并祝愿长辈万事如意，福寿安康！

竹林寺“自动体外除颤器（AED）示范、心肺复苏术（CPR）及气道异物阻塞急救课程”4月12日圆满落幕🏅

在Mr James Wilson 与 Ms Shanna Soon 两位专业讲师的精彩带领下，课程以寓教于乐的方式展开。大家在轻松而紧凑的氛围中，系统学习了关键急救技能与规范流程，让“关键时刻能出手”，成为每个人都具备的能力💪

特别感恩美琴师姐的无私付出❤️ 即使身体不适，仍坚持统筹安排各项细节，成就了本次课程的顺利开展🙏

笔墨迎春 · 福气落笔生根

1月17日｜竹林「笔墨迎春」书法体验坊 圆满落幕
竹林寺马年迎春庆典的第一篇章，在墨香与笑声中，温暖开启。
当天上午、下午两场活动，皆座无虚席。图书馆里，宣纸铺开，毛笔轻蘸——大人孩子并肩而坐，描红、写字、谈笑。

在一笔一画之间，大家为自己、也为家人，写下了一份独一无二的“福”气。

这一日，我们把春意凝在笔端，把祝愿，带回家中。也感谢诸位法师的加持、义工们的护持，让这个年前的周末，如此充满年味与温情。
