Welcome Ben! 👋

We are excited to welcome Ben Dicks as our new Youth Pastor at King’s Baptist Church as he officially starts this week!

Ben grew up in Malawi as a missionary kid before moving to Melbourne in 2016, where he quickly got involved in youth ministry and worship. He’s a gifted musician (guitar, drums and vocals 🎶) and has been part of a number of churches and events across the Baptist SA/NT movement, including Easter Camps, youth gatherings and more. Most recently, he served as Worship Coordinator at Grange Baptist Church.

Ben has a real heart for Jesus, a love for people, especially young people, and brings a genuine servant-hearted approach to ministry. He senses a clear calling into pastoral ministry, and we’re excited to see that continue to grow here within the King's Community.

Ben will be working 4 days a week, splitting his time between the church and the school, helping strengthen connections across our community.

We are excited to celebrate mums this Sunday! During the service we will hear from a panel telling their stories of life and faith as a mother and celebrate the mothers and women in our lives. See you there!

We’re Hiring – Youth Pastor (0.8FTE)

King’s Baptist Church is seeking a passionate and capable Youth Pastor to lead our youth ministry and invest in the spiritual growth of young people. This role provides an opportunity to shape a vibrant youth community while strengthening our partnership with King’s Baptist Grammar School.

The successful applicant will:

• Lead our established Friday night youth program
• Provide vision, teaching, and pastoral care
• Support and develop a committed team of volunteer leaders
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and the wider church
• Contribute to school-based ministry and discipleship initiatives

We are looking for someone with a genuine love for Jesus, strong leadership skills, and a heart for seeing young people grow in faith.
