Visakha Puja One-Day Retreat at Bodhipala Monastery

On the occasion of Visakha Puja the Sangha and lay community of Bodhipala Monastery had a day of practice to mark the occasion of the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and Parinibbana. We extend our Anumodana to all who braved the cool fresh weather to join us and honour the Buddha through practicing meditation, chanting and listening to the Dhamma.

วันปฏิบัติธรรมเนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา ณ วัดโพธิปาละ

เนื่องในโอกาสวันวิสาขบูชา คณะสงฆ์และพุทธบริษัทของวัดโพธิปาละได้ร่วมกันจัดวันปฏิบัติธรรมตลอดหนึ่งวัน เพื่อรำลึกถึงวันประสูติ วันตรัสรู้ และวันปรินิพพานของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า

ทางวัดขอร่วมอนุโมทนากับทุกท่านที่ได้ฝ่าความหนาวเย็นและอากาศอันสดชื่นมาร่วมงาน เพื่อแสดงความเคารพบูชาพระพุทธองค์ด้วยการเจริญสมาธิภาวนา สวดมนต์ และรับฟังพระธรรมเทศนา ขออำนาจแห่งบุญกุศลนี้จงเป็นปัจจัยแห่งความสุข ความเจริญ และความก้าวหน้าในธรรมแก่ทุกท่านโดยทั่วกัน. 🙏🏻

You are welcome to join us to mark the occasion of Visakha Puja; the day the Buddha was born, was Enlightened and passed into Parinibbana. Bodhipala Monastery will be holding a one-day meditation retreat beginning at 8:30am until 4pm. No Registration is necessary, please wear loose fitting white clothing or alternatively white top and black lower garment.

Anumodana to everyone who helped to pour concrete at Bodhipala Monastery today. Patently waiting for the concrete to arrive and working together passing buckets of concrete to eachother we successfully completed the upper portion of the bell shape of the Subhaddachetiya, showing how harmony and effort can make impossible tasks possible, Sadhu.

Paying Respects and Appreciation to Phra Ajahn Dta (Phra Chanaphairee Chandavamso)

Today was Ajahn Dta’s final day with us as he returns to Thailand. We extend our appreciation and gratitude for his two years of service here at Bodhipala Monastery. Wishing Ajahn safe travels to Thailand.

Today the Sangha and lay people lifted in the formwork for the ‘Bell’ section of the Subhaddachetiya. After working on this technical part of the project in the workshop everyone was pleased to see it finally in place and fitting well ready to pour concrete next week. You are welcome to join us to express our appreciation to Ajahn Dta on this occasion of his return to Thailand after four years in Australia, two of which here at Bodhipala Monastery. The program will start at the usual time of 10:30am with Rice Pindabat followed by a talk from Ajahn Dta before the blessing.
