A pastoral message from Rev. David Hoffman

In the face of the evil perpetrated at Bondi Beach last night, we turn to prayer. We pray for those who've lost loved ones, for those who were injured and their families, for first responders, police and hospital staff. We pray for those who've witnessed this evil up close. We pray for the Jewish community and the Bondi community. We pray for our nation. Through our tears we pray. Lord, hear our prayer. Amen

Tonight from 7pm-8pm the church will be open for prayer and the lighting of candles. Come at any time during that hour and stay for as long or as short a time as you wish.

β€œThe light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
(New Living Translation)

Over the next few weeks we will be finding the wonder of Christmas, as we contemplate and celebrate the miraculous birth of a child 2000 years ago, whose life continues to impact our world and our lives today. All are welcome as we come together to share the true meaning of this special time πŸŽ„βœ¨

"Life in Odessa is normal 99.9% of the time...but the other 0.1% is noisy...beneath the surface, not visible to casual eyes is a world of loss, hardship and often great poverty." Westbourne Life, 19 October
