Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda in New York City in 1966 to give the world the impetus and opportunity to cultivate pure love of God, based on the tenets of Gaudiya-Vaisnavism, a religious sect in the line of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
