Dear Community,
Tisha B’Av is the saddest day on the Jewish calendar. On this day, we mourn the destruction of both Holy Temples in Jerusalem, as well as the many other tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people throughout our history.
Tisha B’Av is observed with a 25-hour fast, prayer, and the reading of Megillat Eichah—the Book of Lamentations—while seated low to the ground as a sign of mourning.

Tisha B’Av in Vienna:
* Fast begins: Wednesday, 22 July, at 20:40
* Fast ends: Thursday, 23 July, at 21:25
Even as we mourn, we look forward with hope and pray for the rebuilding of the Third and final Holy Temple. May this fast soon be transformed into a day of joy and celebration with the coming of Moshiach—very, very soon. Amen!
