This week we had a study conference with our reference group CPCE Young Theologians. We reflected on the result of the doctrinal conversation 'Church and Israel' from 2001, on Christian-Jewish relations today, specifically in the United Kingdom, and on Protestant Perspectives on Religious Plurality in Europe (a study text from 2018).
It was great to meet our Council member Nathan Eddy, our former president John Bradbury and other inspiring people from the United Reformed Church.
Many meetings and conversations will tingle on.

19 czerwca 2026 roku rozpoczęła się w Warszawie konferencja Wspólnoty Kościołów Ewangelickich w Europie (GEKE) zatytułowana „Ochrona przed przemocą seksualną w Kościołach". Wydarzenie odbywa się w budynku Chrześcijańskiej Akademii Teologicznej (ChAT).

Der Rat der Gemeinschaft Evangelischer Kirchen in Europa (GEKE) hat heute in Warschau einen Aufruf zu Schutzmassnahmen veröffentlicht. Er anerkennt offen das Unrecht, das Kindern, Jugendlichen und schutzbedürftigen Erwachsenen in den Kirchen angetan wurde, und ruft alle Mitgliedskirchen auf, dem Schutz vulnerabler Personen hohe Priorität einzuräumen. Sichere Räume zu schaffen gehört zum Kern unseres Glaubens.

The Council of the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE) issued a call for protective measures today in Warsaw. It openly acknowledges the wrongs committed against children, young people, and vulnerable adults within the churches and calls on all member churches to make the protection of vulnerable people a top priority. Creating safe spaces is at the heart of our faith.
