My therapist said it’s rare in her profession to see someone’s experience the level of trauma I did growing up to turn out like this. I told her it’s all God. I told her it’s my faith that has changed my life. She then said “I was thinking that as you told your story” (I only told the first 8 years!) this isn’t to my credit but the fact of the matter is we are supposed to let Jesus transform our life so much that unbelievers would be able to see the evidence of God moving in our life. Now I am a FIRM believer we still need to do the work. Inner healing, therapy, deliverance, and renewing your mind are SO important. I’ve had my fair share of that over the years but more than that it’s the presence of Jesus that has truly changed my life. There’s more work to do. More areas to heal from and overcome for sure. But you better believe my life story is someone’s prophecy one day of what Jesus can truly do!

A tiny little update since it’s been a while 🙂 we just had a time of coming together as a base looking back and reflecting, as well as looking forward to what God wants to do, and although I couldn’t be part of all of it, the parts I were were nice just to hear the stories of God‘s faithfulness! Christoph has been serving faithfully in the kitchen and will soon be stepping into serving our campus in the facilities department soon, as well as he will participating in the hospitality seminar in October. I took that seminar last year and it was a wonderful seminar seeing God‘s heart for others scripturally and learning practical skills as well . He’s very excited and I’m really excited for him because I loved it! I’ve been working on some things behind the scenes that I’m super super excited about and cannot wait to share in the future when I’m done. I’ve also been plugging away on my course online and have now lost 52 pounds as well, which has been a pretty incredible journey balancing full-time Momhood as well. There’s so much more than this, but it doesn’t need to be on Facebook 🙂God is doing beautiful things in us and hopefully through us now and at the end of this year/next year we step into new things. To everyone that’s been kind and encouraged us and shown us support in any way—-especially me because I started this page on my own 13 years ago and it’s my DTS anniversary actually, thank you! Thank you for all the encouragement on all my songs, endeavors, schools, moves, things we’ve done as a couple as well, all the outreaches, the trials that we’ve walked through, and all the moments in between. Thank you for being a part of this journey.

Someone wrote a review on my book just a few days ago—book that was released six years ago that I thought only a handful of people actually read. Sometimes I feel like I make no impact for the kingdom at all. I wonder if my testimony, my words, my songs, (in this case my book) even matter. Then I read something like this and I’m TRULY humbled and encouraged. Sometimes we think we’re insignificant and in ourselves, we are. But when we offer our little gifts, our story, our pain to Jesus, he can use it to bring hope to someone else. This also reminds me not to despise small beginnings.

Greater levels of freedom is coming! For you and for me and for anyone who continually puts their hope in Jesus.

Updates 😃 because it’s been a minute:
-Christoph is serving in facilities and the kitchen for the time being on our campus and is still praying about the fall what he will do! His heart is to step into Bible translation to some degree + teaching(we both love it!) the Bible overseas as well. There are plenty of opportunities to do that so be praying for him for the right placement for the fall. I am back to working on my personal training course with ISSA (I took a few weeks off because of all that was going on/solo parenting) but I’m back and hoping to finish it in the next few months. To clarify: this is not what I sense is my main ministry at all. I don’t feel called to business either. I just wanna walk with people towards health and this will equip me to do that 🙂 My heart and calling towards global missions has not changed even a little bit. We’ve been talking so much about going on outreaches again as well overseas, and we’re trusting the Lord‘s timing especially as I work through some of this fear of flying. Anyways THIS fall I have some direction + a word I believe is from the Lord about how to step back into music ministry more fully while carrying full time motherhood but it will require some different moving parts and I am holding it with open hands. 🤲 We’re very focused on being present here at YWAM Montana/stepping more into community and we both really want to step into all the Lord has for us here. Thank you for your prayers 🖤🙌

Today in our staff meeting we were asked the question: How has God transformed us and used it to transform others? It was hard to think of an answer because so many things come to mind! To be honest with you, particularly in this last year even though it has been difficult (end of pregnancy/postpartum) there have been many many moments where I’ve realized that I was living one of my highest dreams. I don’t mean being married with a child because honestly, that was never my highest dream. My highest dream when I met Jesus intimately at 18 was to give him everything. My highest dream was to break generational curses and grow as a person. I don’t have anything to flex about. God is the only reason for the good in my life. The peaceful family that I have means everything to me and I know that that’s from him. I’ve seen him set me free from so many things over the years: lust, abandonment from both parents, coming from a family of addicts and not ending up being one myself, seeing him redeem my view of men after witnessing violence my entire life, marrying my real life Prince Charming, overcoming insecurity, disordered eating, anger+ rejection, (he’s still healing those ones but truly I’ve come far and IYKYK!) and so so much more! How he’s used those things to transform others I don’t necessarily need to make a list on because it’s not about me. I’m in awe I’ve gotten to “do” anything. It’s honestly just been a privilege to travel to different nations and cities across the world sharing my testimony and ministering to people. That’s a privilege. Writing songs about what he’s done in my life that people have actually listened to is a privilege. Having the beautiful son that I have and getting to raise him and disciple him is an incredible privilege. He’s transformed my life immensely. And I know he’s not done. He’s not done at all! And I have not lost my passion or zeal for the Lord. Somehow, after 13 years of full-time ministry + the good/bad/highs/lows/trauma/mountain top moments/ I still feel very passionate about Jesus and wanting to make him known. Things look a little different right now, but I know that he’s doing something new with me and more importantly in me and I know that he has so much more for me and through me. I feel incredibly grateful and thankful this morning for all he has done in my life and all that he will do. There are more things to accomplish with him and to also overcome in my own life. I look forward to that. 🖤 All I can be is grateful.

Today we are praying for Spokane and surrounding areas hit with fires. It’s been smoky today where we are (it’s considered “very unhealthy”) and after living through the camp fire in 2018 we take this very seriously. We were under a red flag warning the other day but it was lifted. Praying for protection and calm winds. Praying for the people losing their homes and all firefighters.

Celebrated Christoph 🫶’s birthday tonight because it’s tomorrow and he leaves. Celebrated mine a few days ago. Please pray for us as the emotions are hitting that we’re going to be apart and that I’m really not going to Austria. We’re both pretty sad! So grateful for Christoph 🫶’s life. What a treasure he is. Grateful God gave us both another birthday.
