Our Cathedral is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Argentina and it is the place wher
e our Diocesan Bishop and Dean, the Rt. Gregory J. Venables, has his “cathedra” or seat of honor. Our Cathedral serves as a center for diocesan activities, and also it is home to a dynamic Christian community. Our membership is national and international, caring, diverse and welcoming, committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and inspired to share God’s love with all. We would like to encourage you to visit our historic Church opened in 1831, as it is a place tightly associated with the early life of the Argentine nation. While being surrounded by historical landmarks, we hope that you will be inspired to worship God enjoying the music of our historic pipe organ, and finding strength in prayer, silence or meditation. As you join us in regular worship, we trust you will be encouraged and challenged by sermons and homilies and the warm fellowship of our community leaving emboldened to build up the kind of world that God has in mind since the beginning of time. The Anglican (Episcopal) Diocese of Argentina is member of the ecclesiastical Province of the Anglican Church of the Southern Cone of America, one of the 38 autonomous churches making up the Anglican Communion, a body of historical Christian churches in full communion with the Archbishop of Canterbury.
