I know we're coming back into this season, and maybe there are some or many of you who have or still celebrate Halloween.

My hope and prayer is that you may see the truth of this. It is not something we should be participating in. I encourage you to research Halloween, seek God for wisdom for he who seeks wisdom seeks it from God (James 1:5)

Particularly this year, Halloween time is spiritually supercharged. It is every year, but this year there is more going on under the covers. May those who have ears to hear hear what the Spirit of God is saying (Revelation 2:7). We are called to be discerning, to test every spirit (1John 4).

Please don't make your home or your children an altar for demons.

If anyone wants more resources on this your welcome to reach out to me privately or in this group. I understand there may be altars/decorations up in your workplace. Now is a time to be girded up in the armour of God. Pray and fast. Do not partake in the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them.

EPHESIANS 5:8-16

Walk in Light

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:

“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

Walk in Wisdom

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

2 Timothy 1:7 declares God has not given us a spirit of fear. The spirit behind Halloween is fear based. I pray you all take this to the Father before partaking of it in the world. Much love ❤️🙏🏼✝️

HOW TO BEAR FRUIT

Do you want love, joy, peace, and self control in your life? How do you get it?

These things are fruits of God's Spirit in our lives. Have a look at GALATIANS 5:22-23 for context.

But how do we pursue these things? Through our flesh? In our own strength?
When we read through Galatians it becomes clear that WORKS are of the FLESH but FRUIT is of the SPIRIT. We cannot do in our own will power that which comes through the power of God in us.

Bear in mind this distinction between WORKS and FRUIT as we look at the following passages:

GALATIANS 2:16 "...for by WORKS of the law no flesh shall be justified."
GALATIANS 3:2-3 "Did you receive the SPIRIT by WORKS of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the SPIRIT, are you now being made perfect by the FLESH?"
GALATIANS 3:5 "Therefore He who supplies the SPIRIT to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by WORKS of the law or by the hearing of faith?"
GALATIANS 4:6 "...because you are sons (and daughters), God has sent forth the SPIRIT of His Son into your hearts..."

GALATIANS 5:16-18 "...Walk in the SPIRIT and you shall not fulfil the lust of the FLESH. For the FLESH lusts against the SPIRIT, and the SPIRIT against the FLESH; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the SPIRIT, you are not under the law."

What does all this mean?

If we are trying to turn that which is spiritual into a work of the flesh, we will fail. To have love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control naturally flowing in our lives, to be FRUITFUL, we need to let the Spirit of God take the lead. Our flesh can only do works, but those works can never perfect us.

Only God's Spirit can do that.

PHILIPPIANS 1:9-11
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ, being filled with the FRUITS OF RIGHTEOUESNESS which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
