The Evangelical Church began gathering in Dubai in 1972 to worship God, sing His praises, and learn from His Word. For more than 54 years, we have been continually blessed by the wise leadership and generous support of the rulers of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai.
Each week when we gather to pray, we give thanks and ask for God’s blessing upon the leaders He has established in this land. Today, we do so again with gratitude.
We thank God especially for the commitment and wisdom demonstrated by the Community Development Authority in Dubai in safeguarding the security and wellbeing of all people, and for its ongoing efforts to foster a society marked by tolerance, unity, and peace.
As a church, we again affirm our support and follow their guidance, entrusting ourselves to their leadership and, ultimately, to the sovereign hand of our heavenly Father. As Psalm 34 states, “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him!”
We continue to pray that the Almighty God will protect the United Arab Emirates—its leaders and its people—and that He will continue to bless this land with security and peace.
