God's idea is that our lives get bigger and bigger-more influence, more opportunity, more resources. But you may feel stuck. You haven't seen this happen yet, but this is a new day. Things are about to turn in your favor. If you get your hopes up and start expecting God's goodness, you're going to come into a bigger life, to a new level of your destiny.

You may be in a limited environment right now that you can't change. If you see lack, dysfunction, struggle, and addictions on a regular basis, it can become ingrained in you to where you think that's the way it's supposed to be. The key is to not let the environment get in you. Don't let mediocrity become the norm. Don't live with a small mentality. Don't water down your dreams, accepting less when you know God has created you for more. Start believing bigger. Start taking steps of faith, stretching, growing, and learning. Start living larger, and God will amaze you with His goodness.

The apostle Paul says that when you're in tough times, you need to remember the trouble is temporary; the glory is permanent. Greater is coming. Don't stay focused on the suffering; stay focused on the glory that's coming. It's leading you to greater favor, greater anointing, greater victories.

But here's the key: To see the greater, you have to go through the suffering. There are levels you can only reach by going through tough times. Don't get stuck in the suffering. Don't get bitter because somebody walked out on you. Don't settle in the depression, thinking that's your lot in life. Don't let that setback in your finances convince you that you'll always struggle. Keep an attitude of faith and go through it. Keep believing when every thought is telling you it's never going to change. Keep declaring God's promises when it seems like it's not doing any good. That difficulty is not there to defeat you, it's there to promote you. You're not just going to come out, you're going to come out better.

In today's Scripture, the disciples had just seen Jesus feed some fifteen thousand people, one of the greatest miracles ever recorded. A few hours later, they were caught in a night storm in a boat on a lake and terrified until He got into the boat, and the winds and waves calmed immediately. The Scripture tells us that they were so worried because "they didn't consider or understand the miracle of the loaves." If they had just remembered what God had done, they would have stayed in faith.

Are you letting your circumstances, a medical report, or a financial situation cause you to live worried, stressed out? Why don't you start considering your miracles? You have a history with God. Remember the time God showed up and suddenly turned it around. Every victory He's given you wasn't just for that time; it was so you could go back and use that as fuel to build your faith. If you are low on faith, go back and get some fuel. It's in your past victories.

Did you make up your mind to be happy this morning? It's important to be on the offensive when it comes to your happiness. If you don't set the tone early in the day, the enemy will start reminding you of all your problems and everything that's wrong in your life. Before long, you'll be negative and discouraged. Notice that the Scripture doesn't say, "I might be glad today if everything goes well, if I don't get stuck in traffic, if my boss doesn't yell at me, or if it doesn't rain on my new hairdo." No, the psalmist says, "I will rejoice and be glad." No matter what kind of difficulties I face today—no matter who tries to make me upset—I choose to be happy.

Happiness is a decision you make, not an emotion you feel. Never forget that although you might not be able to choose your circumstances, you can always choose how you respond to them. If you'll make the decision to stay full of joy, if you'll choose to be happy in spite of your circumstances, the enemy can't keep you down and defeated. God will give you supernatural strength to overcome every obstacle you face, and you'll live that life of overcoming victory He has in store for you.

Are you dealing with an "unsolved case" from your past that needs resolution? You might have been through some bad breaks. People may have said things about you and done things to you that hurt and offended. Are you waiting for your day of justice or repayment? God promises in His Word that He is our vindicator. He is our defender. He will settle your case and repay everything the enemy has stolen.

But in order to allow Christ to settle your debts, you have to release your concerns to Him and forgive those who have wronged you. It’s very freeing to say, “They can’t pay me back. I’m on God’s payroll, and He never misses a payment.” God will settle your cases. You have to allow Jesus to take on the debt they owe you in the same way that He took on your debt for sin. That's true forgiveness—freeing others so that you can be free. As you walk and live in forgiveness, you show that you trust in God to repay you, and He will honor your faith in Him!

When David went out to face Goliath, all he had was a slingshot and five smooth stones. It looked insignificant, ordinary, and certainly nothing special. But God breathed on him, and he defeated Goliath and became the king of Israel. All Moses had was an ordinary stick, something he found on the ground, yet when he picked up that rod and held it in the air, the Red Sea supernaturally parted. Samson was surrounded by a huge army. All he had was the jawbone of a donkey. But he picked up that jawbone, God breathed on him, and he defeated a thousand men.

Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Don’t look at what you have and say, “I can’t do anything great. I don’t have a lot of talent.” If you’ll use what God has given you, He will multiply it. He will not only bring your dreams to pass, but He will do more than you can ask or think.

You may have struggled in an area for a long time, but don't have a limited mindset. You have to give God permission to increase you. It starts in your thinking. If you grew up in lack, not having enough, surrounded by mediocrity, don't let that poverty spirit get in or stay in you. That is not who you are. You're the one to break the curse and set a new standard. God is about to lose resources, promotion, ideas, and opportunities for you. You have seeds of greatness. You are not limited by how you were raised, by your family, by what you didn't get. You're not a slave to lack, depression, or fear. The oppressor has been defeated. Your days of struggle, your days of sickness, your days of loneliness are coming to an end. God is about to do a new thing. He's going to break bondages that have held you back. Have a vision for increase. See yourself as a child of God rising higher.

Fear is one of the enemy's favorite tools to keep us from moving forward. The moment you make a decision to step out in faith, the enemy will immediately bring fear to stop you. He'll put thoughts in your mind such as, "What if I fail? What will others think? Maybe I don't have what it takes." He'll do his best to use fear to try to convince you to shrink back and just stay right where you are. The Scripture tells us that fear is a spirit. It affects your emotions. But when you choose to put your trust in the Lord, no matter how you are feeling, you are combating fear. Today, don't allow fear to trap you and hold you back. Instead, take a step of faith knowing that God is on your side. He is for you and with you, leading and guiding you in the path of victory all the days of your life.

When God created the heavens and the earth, He made them out of nothing. When He spoke worlds into creation, He didn't google it to see if it was possible with no materials. He didn't try to figure out a way. He is the way. He doesn't try to open doors. He is the door. He doesn't check the odds to see if you can reach your destiny. He speaks, and it becomes your destiny. God is not limited by your background, by how you were raised, by your education. He is all-powerful. He can take nothing and make something magnificent. Imagine what He can do with you. You are His prized possession. He has destined you to leave your mark.

There may be odds against you, but they cannot stop you. Don't let what you think is not going to happen talk you out of believing. Even if the odds are zero in a million, all God has to do is speak and the odds change in your favor.

God has made us a new creation in Christ, but He doesn't take away every negative desire, where you're never tempted to be impatient, critical, rude, angry, jealous, or to compromise again. Some people let the same personal enemies the sour attitude, the addiction, the un-forgiveness hold them back for years. Everybody struggles with some wrong desires, but don't excuse them and allow them to stay. That's why the apostle Paul says, "I die daily." He was saying, "When that temptation rises up inside again, I put it straight back in the grave."

This is where the abounding grace of God shows up. You have the grace to overcome. The temptation may not ever totally go away, the desire may be there, but God's grace, His enabling power, will always be greater than what's trying to stop you. His grace is greater than a critical attitude or an addiction. If you deal with the things that are holding you back, God will release the big things that belong to you.

Life is full of things that try to push us down. We all face disappointments and setbacks. Maybe you got bad news concerning your health, or perhaps a relationship didn't work out. Maybe you lost your job. It was a setback. When we face setbacks, it's easy to get discouraged or lose our enthusiasm. Too often we are tempted to just settle where we are. But if we're going to see God's best, we have to have a bounce-back mentality. That means when you get knocked down, you don't stay down. You get back up again. It means when disappointments come, you shake them off knowing that what the enemy meant for your harm God is going to turn around and use for your good.

This is a new day. Things are changing in your favor. You need to get ready because there’s a bounce-back coming. You’re going to bounce back from sickness, bounce back from depression, bounce back from bad breaks, bounce back from a loss. Keep standing, keep believing, and choose to be a bounce-back person because you are coming out better off than you were before! You are rising higher, and you will fulfill the destiny God has in store for you!
