Hats for Hope: A Gift of Warmth Across Continents 🧶❤️

One of the quiet ministries of Christ Church Jebel Ali is Hats for Hope—a wonderful group of knitters and crocheters whose hands lovingly create hats, blankets, booties, and other handmade gifts for people in need.

Last year, some of their creations travelled all the way from Dubai to St Martin by the Sea Anglican Church in Gonubie, South Africa. This winter, those gifts found their way into the hands of children at The Kings Children's Home in East London, a privately run home caring for abused and abandoned babies and children. The home receives no government funding and currently provides a safe and loving home for around 60 children.

We were deeply touched this week to receive a message from Lynne Hall, Senior Churchwarden at St Martin by the Sea, together with a beautiful thank-you card from Tracy King, the home's founder. Seeing the children wearing their new beanies is a joyful reminder that even the simplest acts of love can travel great distances and make an eternal difference.

To every member of Hats for Hope: thank you. Your time, creativity, and generosity have brought warmth, comfort, and smiles to children you may never meet this side of heaven.

This is the Church at its best—love knitted together, one stitch at a time. 💙
