ONE TRUE GOD

Isaiah 45:5-8 (ESV)
“5 I am the LORD, and there is no other,
besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,
6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
7 I form light and create darkness;
I make well-being and create calamity;
I am the LORD, who does all these things.
8 “Shower, O heavens, from above,
and let the clouds rain down righteousness;
let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit;
let the earth cause them both to sprout;
I the LORD have created it.”

The God we worship and serve is the all powerful God. Creator. Provider. All knowing. The ONLY true God worthy of worship! He is unchangeable and He does wondrous things!

Good Sunday morning Beloved GCFD!

Let’s be in prayer throughout the day and ask the LORD to prepare our heart and mind as we enter His presence and worship Him as one community! May our songs and our coming together be missional! Be encouraged by His Word:

Psalm 86:9-12 (ESV)
“9 All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name.
10 For you are great and do wondrous things;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me your way, O LORD,
that I may walk in your truth;
unite my heart to fear your name.
12 I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart,
and I will glorify your name forever.”

Today we begin our new sermon series on the Gospel of John. Come and join us tonight 6:30 - 8:30, Al Durrah Building, 9 55 St. Al Gahroud, Dubai (beside GGICO Metro Station exit 2).

In today’s message we will focus on John’s prologue: Chapter 1:1-18 - “JESUS, Fully God and Fully Man”.

Do you know Jesus? GCF Dubai begins a new sermon series on the Gospel of John entitled: “JESUS - His Person, Nature and Attributes.”

In our pursuit to “Know Christ and Make Him Known” we will bring greater clarity in the heart and mind of seekers and believers that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man sent by the Father as the promised Savior. At the heart of John’s gospel is the call to believe and trust Jesus. Those who respond in faith receive forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life.

Join us for a close encounter with Jesus and experience Him in a deep and personal way.

Blessed Day Beloved!

As we reflect on what God accomplished yesterday in our inaugural worship service we can truly and wholeheartedly say that God did it all! Our journey has been both joyful and challenging. Like a mother anticipating the birth of a child she knows she must bear the process of birth pains! And when the child has arrived the mother rejoices with unspeakable joy for the wonderful gift of life! It was worth all the sacrifices, the waiting and the pains of labor.

Birthing a church is much the same, it isn’t easy, it comes with great sacrifices, the willingness to bear the pain and complete dedication to the vision God has entrusted. It involves faithfulness and total dependence on the God who alone has the power to make it happen. In God’s perfect will, unmistakable ways and time He does everything for His utmost glory! Ours is the privilege to be invited by God to join Him in His mission. Our response is humble obedience and gratefulness. We bow before Him with all reverence and worship for He alone is worthy!

The task only gets bigger and heavier. The work doesn’t stop after a successful launch, we have just began. We will continue to trust and depend on our living God. For just as He has promised, “I will build My Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it!” We will continue to face challenges and trials of many kinds, but we have the assurance that God will give us the victory! In fact, He already has! Let’s be encouraged by Paul’s declaration of this unchanging truth.

“57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” - (1 Cor. 15:57-58 ESV)

Let’s continue to encourage one another, edify and strengthen each other daily! Lastly, with one voice, let us shout our praise to Jesus who alone is victorious and glorious! Serve Him with gladness. Be faithful to Him. Love Him more than anything else in life! Let Him be your most precious possession!

We are serious about living our lives in a manner worthy of the name of Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-8 (ESV)
A Life Pleasing to God
“1 Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, 5 not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God; 6 that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. 8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.”

NEW BEGINNING

I pray you had a restful evening and woke up feeling refreshed and ready to seize the day for Jesus!

This month is about to close and a new one will begin. Praise God! He is the God of new beginnings! This brings to mind the experiences of the last 7 months. We knew our journey in birthing a church would not be a walk in the park. It will be a combination of challenges, setbacks, triumphs and joys. But we anchor our steps in the assurance that our God who called us will bring it to completion. In the midst of it all our GOD has proven Himself true to His promises—His faithfulness is everlasting, His love steadfast and His mercy new every morning! His character is trustworthy!

Much like the prophet Jeremiah recalling the pains and afflictions they suffered under the mighty hand of God because of their sin and disobedience (Lamentations 3:1-20). Yet his recollection was overshadowed by the purposeful providence of God. He sees beyond the pain the all encompassing greatness of God’s love, mercy and compassion. He pins his hope in the God who never fails!

Lamentations 3:22-25 (ESV)
“22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
25 The LORD is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.”

Further he says, “it is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” -(v. 26)

We pin our confidence in the unchanging character of God! We continue to wait on Him. As we are about to embark on a new beginning, we envision a future filled with much growth, joys and victories. Our hearts are filled with great expectations that His church will grow to become a church with a high view of Him and His Word; a church that will testify to the goodness and faithfulness of God and usher many to the saving grace of Jesus!

So, beloved let’s keep praying, hoping, loving one another and serving faithfully our God and Savior Jesus Christ! Thank you for being a significant part of this incredible journey! We share the joy together, God gets all the glory! He is our utmost delight!
