Twelfth Saturday after Pentecost and Pastor/UCWO Appreciation Saturday
📖 Sermon Title: Unrevoked Grace, Unwavering Call

Last Saturday, we celebrated the Twelfth Saturday after Pentecost and Pastor/UCWO Appreciation Saturday as we reflected on Romans 11:1–2a, 29–32 through the powerful message:
“Unrevoked Grace, Unwavering Call”
Today’s message reminded us of a beautiful truth: God’s grace is never revoked, and His calling is never abandoned. Just as God remained faithful to His covenant people, He remains faithful to those He has called to serve and shepherd His Church.
✨ Three Key Lessons
1. Rooted in Promise
God’s faithfulness is rooted in His promises, not in our circumstances. What He has spoken, He will fulfill. His grace does not expire, and His covenant love does not change.
2. Equal at the Cross
At the foot of the Cross, there is no room for pride or superiority. We all stand in need of the same grace. We are united not by our accomplishments, but by the mercy and salvation we have received through Christ.
3. Purpose in the Wilderness
Even seasons of difficulty, uncertainty, and wilderness have purpose in God’s hands. God can use these seasons to shape our faith, deepen our dependence on Him, and prepare us for the calling He has entrusted to us.
⛪ Covenant Church vs. Consumer Church
The message also challenged us to examine what kind of church community we are building.
A consumer mindset treats the church like a service provider—evaluating ministry like a product and expecting pastors and leaders to perform like spiritual contractors.
But a covenant mindset sees the church as a spiritual family.
It means:
❤️ Standing together in ministry.
🤝 Sharing the workload.
🙏 Praying for and with our leaders.
🫶 Protecting the spiritual and emotional well-being of our pastors.
🌿 Recognizing that ministry is not something we simply receive—it is something we are all called to share.
🕊️ Guard Rest and Give Care
As we celebrate and appreciate our pastors and church workers, may our appreciation go beyond words.
Protect Their Sabbath.
Respect their day-off boundaries and refrain from sending non-urgent messages during their time of rest.
Give Tangible Support.
A home-cooked meal, help with family responsibilities, or a simple unexpected act of kindness can mean so much to those who continually pour themselves out for others.
Provide Generously.
As a church family, let us advocate for fair living compensation and appropriate health support so that our shepherds can serve without carrying unnecessary financial anxiety.
Pastor and church worker appreciation is not simply about giving gifts once a year. It is about creating a culture where those who shepherd us are also shepherded, cared for, and supported.
🤍 A Sacred Covenant
“As God has shown unrevoked grace to us, let us extend persistent, unwavering honor and care to those He has called to shepherd our souls.”
May we never forget that our pastors and church workers are not spiritual contractors hired to meet our needs. They are fellow servants and members of the same spiritual family, called alongside us to participate in God's mission.
Today, may we honor their calling not only with applause, but with prayer, patience, generosity, encouragement, rest, and genuine love.
And may we always remember:
God's grace is unrevoked.
His calling is unwavering.
And His Church is a covenant family.
