Apostolic Community

Apostolic Community We have a deep desire to see the configuration of family being birthed on the earth. Christ the pattern Son has come to reveal the will of the Father.

Christ is the pattern Son that has come to reveal the will of the Father. We who are in Christ are the sons of God. We are here to manifest the Father’s business, which is to construct the family in the image of Christ. We have a heart to identify, train, send and appoint within the Body of Christ a people that would express the heart of Father God. This is a people that live and move and have the

ir being in Christ the begotten Son of God. Headship is foundational and not hierarchical – it is to lay foundations so that the building will stand. We also have a deep desire to see the Body of Christ come together in this city because we realize that’s where the head of Christ will find a resting a place. We are deeply committed to city and nation building through covenant relationships globally

This is our heart and what God has birthed in us for the nations

Rejection

11:2 (NKJV) Gilead’s wife bore sons; and when his wife’s sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out, and said to him, “You shall have no inheritance in our father’s house, for you are the son of another woman.”

Jephthah was driven out by his stepbrothers and faced immense rejection. Mighty ones are able to overcome rejection. Joseph was rejected because he wore a coat of many colors.

Jesus was rejected by his own people.

:
1. For grace to triumph over rejection
2. That we would not loose heart when we are despised and rejected for the gospel
3. For the presence of mind in dealing with rejection.

Despised

11:1 (NKJV)
1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.

Jephthah was a son of a harlot. Because of this status, he was despised. We are sometimes despised because of our race, gender, social standing, or the location we come from. Mighty ones can overcome being despised and press through into becoming great.

:
1. That we will not let our status affect our greatness in the Lord
2. For grace to overcome being despised
3. That we not let our human existence limit our divine position in Christ.

Valor

Judges 11:1 (NKJV) 1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was theson of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.

Jephtath was a mighty man of valor. The word valor infers that one is resourceful and has access to wealth. Mighty people are resourceful who can solve difficult situations. The Samaritan had resources to bring deliverance to the man who was dying on the road.

Pray:
1. That we will be well resourced so that we can be people of valor
2. For greater capacity to manage resources 3. That wealth will be used as a resource to empower and develop others.

Rocky

11:1 (NKJV) 1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.

Jephthah was a Gileadite, which means "rocky region." This speaks of the hardness of the ground, which requires breaking and plowing through. Mighty ones put their hands to the plough and do not look back. Such people plough until they see a breakthrough.

:
1. That we would be mighty in breaking new ground
2. For wisdom in dealing with rocky ground
3. That we would not give up until we see breakthroughs in tough situations

Opens

11:1 (NKJV) 1 Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah.

Jephthah was a judge in Israel who brought deliverance from their enemies. His name means "He opens." Mighty people are openers and breakers. Just as Zerah opened the womb for Perez to break through or how Barnabas opened the door for Paul to meet the apostles, we must open doors for others.

:
1. That as God's mighty ones, we would open doors for others
2. For grace to bring breakthroughs into the lives of others
3. That we would not look for doors but become the door.

Blindness of Success

3:17 (NKJV) "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'-- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked...

Wealth and prosperity can make us blind to something new. What we did in the past would have brought us wealth, but we do not know that we can be miserable, poor and blind because we are unable to see the new things in God. Solomon's wealth blinded him!!

:
1. That we would not be blinded by our success
2. For success to be a stepping stone and not a hindrance
3. That wealth will not control us and make us slaves.

Old Actions

20:11 (NKJV) 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank...

Moses was told to speak to the rock, but he struck it as before. He got water but through past actions. This resulted in him being disbarred from the promised land. Old actions are a hindrance to entering what is new in the Lord.

:
1. That we will not let anger rehearse old actions
2. For grace to overcome the pressure of people that make us go back to old ways
3. That we would be obedient to God's present demands.

Discouragement

11:10 (NKJV) Then Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, everyone at the door of his tent; and the anger of the LORD was greatly aroused; Moses also was displeased.

The Israelites murmured because they focused on the past diet of Egypt. Israel in the wilderness was too focused on the cucumbers and leeks of Egypt. The past caught up with them when they went back to the golden calves of Egypt.

:
1. That we would not let discouragement hinder our progress
2. For grace to deal with discouragement
3. That we would not turn back when we are discouraged.

Stagnation

19:26 (NKJV) But his wife looked back behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

There are several hindrances that stop us from embracing the new in God. Stagnation is one of the obstacles. Lots' wife looked back, and she stagnated. The man seated at the pool of Bethesda stagnated for 38 years because he was hoping that he would get into the water.
Jonathan stagnated by staying with Saul and not joining David.

:
1. That as mighty ones, we would not stagnate
2. For strength to leave locations of stagnation.
3. That we would not stay in relationships that will stagnate our lives.

Miss Present Reality

2: 16 (NKJV) Then they said to him, "Look now, there are fifty strong men with your servants. Please let them go and search for your master, lest perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up and cast him upon some mountain or into some valley."

We can miss what is new because we ignore the present reality. Elisha was carrying the mantle, but the sons wanted to look for Elijah.
Mighty people are aware of the present reality and follow it.

:
1. That we would not miss the present reality
2. For evaluation of the current reality
3. For grace to follow the current emphasis of God

800

23:8 (NKJV) 8 These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite because he had killed eight hundred men at one time.

Josheb-Basshebeth was called Adino the Eznite. He killed 800 men at one time. 800 is a multiple of 8, which is a biblical number of new beginnings.

Mighty people know how to create new beginnings and move into the new.

:
1. That we would become mighty as we embrace every new thing that God says and does
2. That as mighty ones, we would create new beginnings
3. That we would discern a new season in God.

Toward Us

1:7-8 In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, 8) which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,

Redemption and forgiveness came toward us or unto us through the blood of Jesus Christ. When we receive the Eucharist or the communion, it reminds us of what has been made available to us in Christ's finished work on the cross. Grace abounded toward us. Therefore, we are forgiven of our sins.

:
1. Thank God for grace that abounded toward us for the forgiveness of our sins
2. For our lives to be a testimony of grace that abounded toward us.
3. That we would be faithful to celebrate the Eucharist.
