Transliteration (Malayalam):
രാമോ വിഗ്രഹവാൻ ധർമ്മഃ സത്യവാൻ സത്യവിക്രമഃ। പൂർണ്ണശ്ചന്ദ്ര ഇവാനന്ദോ ഗുണൈഃ സമുദിതോ മഹാൻ॥

Malayalam Meaning:
രാമൻ ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ മൂർത്തീഭാവമാണ്, സത്യസന്ധനും സത്യമായ പരാക്രമശാലിയുമാണ്. പൂർണ്ണചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെ ആനന്ദം നൽകുന്നവനും സകലഗുണങ്ങളാലും മഹത്വമുള്ളവനുമാണ്.

ജനകന്റെ പുത്രിയായ വൈദേഹിയെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ, മഹാരഥനായ വായുപുത്രൻ ഹനുമാൻ വലിയ ദുഃഖത്താൽ നിറഞ്ഞു. ദുഃഖത്താൽ ക്ഷീണിച്ച ആ ദേവിയെ നമസ്കരിച്ച ശേഷം, മഹാനായ ആ ബുദ്ധിമാൻ ഏകാഗ്രചിത്തനായി രാമനെക്കുറിച്ച് മാത്രം ചിന്തിച്ചു.

രഘുവംശത്തിൽ പിറന്ന രാമൻ ധർമ്മനിഷ്ഠനായിരുന്നു. സീതയോടും ലക്ഷ്മണനോടും കൂടി അദ്ദേഹം വനത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം എപ്പോഴും ദുഃഖിതരുടെ രക്ഷകനും സജ്ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്രയവുമാണ്; ധർമ്മത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ആർക്കും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വ്യതിചലിപ്പിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല, അതാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഉന്നതമായ ധൈര്യം.

English Meaning:
“Born in the Raghu dynasty, Rama, devoted to righteousness, entered the forest accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana. He is always the protector of the distressed and the refuge of the virtuous; no one can deviate him from Dharma, such is his supreme steadfastness.”
