قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “إنَّ اللهَ عزَّ وجلَّ لا يَنامُ، ولا يَنْبَغِي له أنْ يَنامَ، يَخْفِضُ القِسْطَ ويَرْفَعُهُ، يُرْفَعُ إلَيْهِ عَمَلُ اللَّيْلِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ النَّهارِ، وعَمَلُ النَّهارِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ اللَّيْلِ” رواه مسلم (179).

The One Who abases the one deserving of abasement and exalts the one deserving of exaltation. He exalts the station of the righteous in this worldly life and raises their ranks in the Afterlife.
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him):

“Verily Allah, Exalted and Mighty be He, does not sleep, and it does not befit Him to sleep. He lowers the scale and raises it. The deeds of the night are raised up to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night.” (Narrated by Muslim)
