Being Molded According to His Purpose

Key Scriptures:

‼️“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

‼️“But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, “Why have you made me like this?” Has the potter no right over the clay, to make out of the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for dishonorable use?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭ESV‬‬

There are 4 STAGES we go through when God wants to use you/bring change in you.

1. SEPARATION- God removes you from what you were used to so that he prepares you. Separation is not easy. It is a painful process e.g in the case of ABRAHAM (Gen 12:1) who was asked to leave his family and go to the place where God was going to show him. When God wants to use you and walk you to your destiny he has to separate you from a lot of things. All you have to do is yield. JOSEPH was also separated from his family before God used him. (Note: Abraham and Joseph's cases were different but the end goal was separation. God uses different ways to separate us from what we are supposed to be separated from.)SEPARATION IS PAINFUL BUT BENEFICIAL. What looks like REJECTION is a REDIRECTION.
2. PREPARATION- God works ON YOU before he works THROUGH YOU. There is often a hidden season where God develops your CHARACTER, FAITH AND OBEDIENCE. (Psalms 109:19 ). JOSEPH spent years in prison before promotion.
3. TRANSFORMATION- God changes your CHARACTER and PERSPECTIVE. GOD does not only change your CIRCUMSTANCES but he changes YOU. GOD transformed Joseph from a young man with dreams to a mature leader who was able to forgive his brothers. When you are transformed you are ready to forgive, obey and do things God's way. The greatest transformation is when your heart has been changed.
4. ELEVATION - God brings you into the purpose he has for you.

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”

“Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. ✨Daniel was known as a prayerful person in the society, such that enemies arose and influenced the King to pass a decree that he alone was to be worshipped. Despite all that Daniel continued to pray and was loud about his faith.
✨Even Jesus prayed, who are we not to pray!

✨When you pray you pray to the ALMIGHTY GOD.

-CORPORATE PRAYER(meeting up as the church to pray)
-PRAYER FOR HEALING AND DELIVERANCE
- SPIRITUAL WARFARE ( usually requires prayer and fasting)
-PRAYER OF DEDICATION( e.g praying for newly born babies to dedicate them to God)

“Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father, knowing, beloved brethren, your election by God. SERVING GOD THROUGH GENEROSITY LEADS TO A LASTING LEGACY🔥🔥

“Now it happened, when David had come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash from Rabbah of the people of Ammon, Machir the son of Ammiel from Lo Debar, and Barzillai the Gileadite from Rogelim, brought beds and basins, earthen vessels and wheat, barley and flour, parched grain and beans, lentils and parched seeds, honey and curds, sheep and cheese of the herd, for David and the people who were with him to eat. For they said, “The people are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.””
