The Biblical Pattern

Receiving the Holy Spirit is the next crucial experience after Salvation according to the Scriptures. After the Samaritians were saved, the Apostles sent Peter and James who on arrival firstly prayed for the Samaritians to receive the Holy Spirit Acts 8vs14 to15. The Gentiles that heard Peter preaching in Cornelious House where Baptised by the Holy Spirit as they heard the word. Acts 10vs 44 to 48

The disciples were told by our Lord Jesus to wait for the Holy Spirit before their venturing unto ministry. Acts 1vs4. The next thing after their salvation was the Baptisn of the Spirit. Acts Acts1vs5. The first thing that Paul asked the disciples he found at Ephesus was whether they had received the Holy Sprit After they had believed. Acts 19vs 2.

The above Scriptures shows us the pattern in scriptures. One has to receive the Holy Spirit after Salvation. Its so painful that the Church has relegated the subject of the Baptism of the Spirit to the last thing that is taught in the church, that is if ever its taught. Acts 19vs2, Here the disciples said they had never heard whether there was an Holy Ghost. It was not their fault, the teachers were teachings some other things.

Thus the state of the church also today. After Salvation the believer is obligated to serve God. Ephesians 4vs11to12. The baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers you for service. Acts 1vs8. Lets get back to the Pattern of the Word. New converts must be filled by the Spirit first before everything else.

Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and i will give you rest, is an appeal of salvation to the unbelievers. Mathew 11vs28. It's inappropriate for a christian to place himself in the position of unbelievers by applying the verse to himself. If a Christian applies it to himself , it will be a manifestation of identity crisis and ignorance of Scriptures. The Epistles in the new Testament does not present a Christian as a burdened person, but one who is above all powers and situations. Furthermore a Christian does not need to come to Christ for he is in Christ , one spirit with the Lord and seated together with Christ in the heavenly places. See yourself as stated in scriptures and walk in that light.

He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit with him. 1 Corinthians 6 vs17.

Therefore if any man be in Christ , he is a new creature, old things have passed away behold all things are become new. 2Corinthians 5 vs17. KJV.

Nay in all these things we are more than conquerers through Christ who loved us.
Romans 8vs37.

In Romans 7 Paul describes the life of an unsaved person, full of struggle and condemnation.

In Romans 8. He describes the life of a Spirit led believer. Many Christians are not sure whether they will make it to heaven, yet the bible is clear about it.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is already condemned, because He has not believed in the name of Gods only Son. John 3vs18.

Because you have believed in Christ you are not condemned. You wont go through judgement because Christ was judged in your place. Romans 8vs1.You are assured of Heaven

To remain assured of Heaven one has to remain in Christ. If a christian disconnect himself or herself from Christ he will not make it to heaven.John 15vs6.
If a christian makes sin his habit it results in spiritual death, the loss of inheritance in the kingdom of God. The life of God received at salvation get extinguished in the soul . Its not once saved forever saved we have do something to keep our salvation.

You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Romans 8vs9. You are in the Spirit because you were born by the Spirit and he lives in you. This has to be your conciousness im in the Spirit

A Christian who is in the Kingdom can decide to walk after the flesh, gratifying its bad desires. To walk after the flesh is to mind the things of the flesh, to be carnal, to set ones affection on earthly things. Romans 8 vs 5 to6. Icorinthians 3vs1. We are not debtors to live after the flesh but after the Spirit .

Walking in the Spirit is our great assurance of making it to heaven. The Holy Spirit leads us to do the word. He inwardly prompts us to put to death the misdeeds of the body.

Always heed the leading of the Spirit.Refuse to be a man of the senses but be a Spiritual man that judges all things. Romans 8vs14. Icorinthians 2vs15

Our Faith statement
We believe in God the Father,Almighty Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ our Lord, as the second person of the Godhead, the only Son of God.
Who was conceived by the HolySpirit, born of the virgin Marry, suffered under Pontius Pilate and was nailed to a cross, died and was buried and suffered the agonies of Hell, and rose on the third day. He ascended to heaven and he is seated at the right hand of God and he is coming back again to take us the saints to heaven.
We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Godhead, his great work to regenerate a person upon believing in Christ and his sanctifying work in the life of the believer. I believe in the ressurection of the dead, we believe everlasting life is given the moment one receives Christ. We believe salvation is only granted to those who Receive Christ as Lord of their lives and there is no other way. We believe in the Bible as the sacred true word of God for all generations.
