OFFICIAL REPORT AND UPDATE ON RECENT ORDINATION CEREMONIES
REPORT ON THE ORDINATION OF BISHOP N. MBANO AND BISHOP PETER MUNYORO
7–8 August 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
The Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe Original 2009 (ACCZ Original 2009) records with gratitude and joy the successful ordination ceremonies of two servants of God, Bishop N. Mbano of Vakadanwa VaMwari Apostolic Church and Bishop Peter Munyoro of Nzira Yekutenda Apostolic Church to the Whole World.
These two significant occasions were held on 7 August 2026 in Dzivarasekwa Extension, Harare, and 8 August 2026 in Rusape, respectively.
The ceremonies represented important milestones not only for the respective churches and their leaders, but also for the wider body of Christ. They demonstrated the importance of recognising, affirming, commissioning and supporting God-called leaders for the advancement of the Gospel and the strengthening of the Church.
The President of ACCZ Original 2009, Apostle Bishop O.V. Matsveru, was invited to serve as Guest of Honour at these historic occasions.
2. ORDINATION OF BISHOP N. MBANO

The first ordination ceremony took place on Friday, 7 August 2026, in Dzivarasekwa Extension, Harare, where Bishop N. Mbano, of Vakadanwa VaMwari Apostolic Church, was formally ordained and recognised in the episcopal office.
The occasion brought together church leaders, clergy, congregants, family members, invited guests and members of the wider Christian community who gathered to witness and celebrate this important spiritual milestone.
The presence of Apostle Bishop O.V. Matsveru, President of ACCZ Original 2009, as Guest of Honour, added significance to the ceremony and reflected the Council's commitment to supporting the orderly development, recognition and strengthening of church leadership.
Significance of the Ordination
The ordination of Bishop N. Mbano represents more than the conferment of a title or ecclesiastical position. It signifies a solemn responsibility to serve God's people with:
Spiritual maturity;
Biblical faithfulness;
Integrity and humility;
Sound leadership;
Pastoral responsibility;
Commitment to unity within the Body of Christ; and
Faithful proclamation of the Gospel.
The episcopal office carries the responsibility of providing spiritual oversight, guidance and protection to God's people. The newly ordained Bishop is therefore encouraged to remain faithful to the calling of God and to lead the Church in accordance with Scripture.
ACCZ Message to Bishop N. Mbano
ACCZ Original 2009 congratulates Bishop N. Mbano on his ordination and encourages him to embrace his calling with humility, courage and faithfulness.
The Council further encourages him to remember that leadership in the Church is fundamentally a ministry of service. The office must never become an instrument of personal glory, but rather a platform through which Christ is glorified and God's people are strengthened.
3. ORDINATION OF BISHOP PETER MUNYORO
Nzira Yekutenda Apostolic Church to the Whole World

The second major ordination ceremony took place on Saturday, 8 August 2026, in Rusape, for Bishop Peter Munyoro of Nzira Yekutenda Apostolic Church to the Whole World.
The ceremony was another significant moment for the Apostolic Christian community and the wider Body of Christ.
As with the Dzivarasekwa Extension ceremony, Apostle Bishop O.V. Matsveru, President of ACCZ Original 2009, served as Guest of Honour, representing the Council and participating in the celebration and recognition of the new episcopal ministry.
The gathering provided an opportunity for the Church to celebrate God's faithfulness while also reminding the newly ordained Bishop of the weight and responsibility attached to spiritual leadership.
4. THE ROLE OF ACCZ ORIGINAL 2009
The participation of ACCZ Original 2009 in these ceremonies demonstrates the Council's continuing commitment to promoting:
a) Unity of the Body of Christ
The Council recognises that although churches may operate under different names, structures and ministries, believers remain part of the one Body of Christ.
Ordination ceremonies provide opportunities for churches and leaders to stand together in fellowship, prayer and mutual support.
b) Responsible Church Leadership
The Church needs leaders who understand that spiritual authority comes with accountability.
Bishops and other church leaders are called to lead God's people with wisdom, discipline, humility, love and integrity.
c) Order and Recognition
The recognition of church leaders through appropriate ecclesiastical processes contributes to order and accountability within the Christian community.
ACCZ Original 2009 therefore encourages churches to uphold biblical principles and responsible procedures in the appointment, recognition and ordination of spiritual leaders.
d) Fellowship Among Apostolic Churches
These ceremonies also demonstrate the importance of fellowship among Apostolic and other Christian churches.
The Council encourages continued cooperation, dialogue, prayer and partnership among churches for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
5. MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Speaking through his participation as Guest of Honour, Apostle Bishop O.V. Matsveru, President of ACCZ Original 2009, continues to emphasise the importance of servant leadership, spiritual responsibility and unity within the Body of Christ.
The ordination of a Bishop should therefore not merely be celebrated as an elevation to an office. It should be understood as a fresh commissioning to greater responsibility.
A Bishop is called to stand for truth, protect the flock, strengthen ministers, encourage believers and remain faithful to the Word of God.
The Church must not merely seek leaders who will stand on its side; rather, the Church must seek leaders who will stand on God's side and faithfully represent the purposes of Christ.
6. MESSAGE TO THE NEWLY ORDAINED BISHOPS
ACCZ Original 2009 congratulates:
Bishop N. Mbano
Vakadanwa VaMwari Apostolic Church
and
Bishop Peter Munyoro
Nzira Yekutenda Apostolic Church to the Whole World
on their ordination and commissioning.
As they enter or continue in the episcopal office, the Council encourages both Bishops to:
Remain faithful to Christ and His Word.
Lead with humility and integrity.
Protect and nurture the people entrusted to their care.
Promote unity rather than division.
Develop and mentor emerging church leaders.
Maintain good relationships with fellow Christian leaders.
Serve communities beyond the walls of the church.
Stand for righteousness, justice and truth.
Remain accountable in the exercise of spiritual authority.
Keep Christ at the centre of their ministry.
7. APPRECIATION
ACCZ Original 2009 expresses its sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of Vakadanwa VaMwari Apostolic Church and Nzira Yekutenda Apostolic Church to the Whole World for hosting and organising these important ceremonies.
The Council also acknowledges the participation of church leaders, ministers, family members, congregants, invited guests and all those who contributed towards the success of the two occasions.
Special appreciation is extended to Apostle Bishop O.V. Matsveru, President of ACCZ Original 2009, for representing the Council and serving as Guest of Honour at both ceremonies.
8. CONCLUSION
The two ordination ceremonies held on 7 and 8 August 2026 constitute important moments in the continuing journey of the Apostolic Christian Church in Zimbabwe.
The ordination of Bishop N. Mbano in Dzivarasekwa Extension and Bishop Peter Munyoro in Rusape demonstrates the continuing development of church leadership and the importance of raising, recognising and commissioning leaders for the service of God's people.
ACCZ Original 2009 remains committed to promoting unity, responsible Christian leadership, fellowship, accountability and the advancement of the Gospel.
As the Council celebrates these milestones, it calls upon the newly ordained Bishops and the wider Body of Christ to remain focused on the central mission of the Church: to honour Jesus Christ, preach the Gospel, make disciples and serve God's people faithfully.
May God grant the two Bishops wisdom, grace, strength and spiritual discernment as they undertake their responsibilities.
