STANDING AT AN ALTAR AND MAKING AN OFFERING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF ITS ACCEPTANCE BY GOD.
The saddest thing about the altar today is that it has lost its sacredness as a place where holy sacrifices and acceptable offerings which represent our worship where or are supposed to be made.
You could go from a nightclub where intoxicated individuials totally oblivious of the reality and existance of God could be dancing expressing every form of vulgarity and walk into a church and see the same going on at the altar.
To assume that God has no standards and will excitedly receive and accept anything offered to him no matter how vile, filthy, defiled and totally disrespectful of his holy nature is the height of human arrogance if not stupidity!!
The mad noises, screaming,so called declarations and total spiritual and demonic anarchy going on in churches and different religious platfoms has nothing to do with worshipping a holy God but is designed to gratify human flesh and self.
No person will worship God in a way acceptable to him except they know him and absolutely honor him.
God does reject carnal entertainment based on performances which cannot discern that which is from the pits of hell and that which is from above.
The fact is we do not worship God the way we want but in spirit and truth.
John 4:24
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
THE TRUTH AND REALITY IS THAT GOD CAN,WILL AND HAS REJECTED ANY WORSHIP, OFFERINGS OR SERVICE WHICH DOES NOT RECOGNISE HIS STANDARD AS A HOLY, RIGHTOUS AND HONOURABLE GOD!!
His word clearly says so.
Amos 5:23
Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
Leviticus 10:1-2
10 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to his command. 2 So fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed them, and they died before the LORD.
Malachi 1:6-14
6 “A son honors his father,o and a slave his master.p If I am a father, where is the honor due me? If I am a master, where is the respectq due me?” says the LORD Almighty.r
“It is you priests who show contempt for my name.
“But you ask,s ‘How have we shown contempt for your name?’
7 “By offering defiled foodt on my altar.
“But you ask,u ‘How have we defiled you?’
“By saying that the LORD’s tablev is contemptible. 8 When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals,w is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleasedx with you? Would he accept you?” says the LORD Almighty.y
9 “Now plead with God to be gracious to us. With such offeringsz from your hands, will he accepta you?”—says the LORD Almighty.
10 “Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors,b so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! I am not pleasedc with you,” says the LORD Almighty, “and I will acceptd no offeringe from your hands.
Genesis 4
3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering-fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering, 5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.
1 Samuel 13:11-14
11 “What have you done?” asked Samuel.
Saul replied, “When I saw that the men were scattering, and that you did not come at the set time, and that the Philistines were assembling at Mikmash, 12 I thought, ‘Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the LORD’s favor.’ So I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.”
13 “You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said. “You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time.
